A message to US citizens from India , if you remember 26/11 which killed 168 people with 30 Police Officer and hundreds injured which was the work of just 10 people armed with AKM rifles and few grenades , I always thought what if some citizens were armed , could have stopped from destroying other lives , what if the government was not too much strict on gun laws other people would be still alive. Even the Law Enforcement Officers were only allowed to keep outdated revolvers and .303 Lee Enfield Rifles ( Which some States Still Carry) , but we stuck on 'what if' and lost hundreds of lives. Banning Assault rifles doesn't mean they can't be obtained illegally by criminals . Fight for your Second Amendment Rights don't make the mistakes which India made ..

remember the old saying, "2 wrongs don't make a right".
I feel your pain but imagine a group of armed civilians trying to help out, in a tense situation, spraying bullets everywhere. . . they would do more harm than good.
As the Americans are finding out its almost impossible to control guns and gun ownership with selective laws alone.

Richard I agree with you but our laws were too rigid to even hold a gun , our police were illequiped then , there was a police inspector of the railways there who took out his revolver and the gun jammed just 4 feet from the attackers , I just wanted to make people aware tightening guns laws doesn't affect criminals but it does affect law abiding citizens .

    • @dreamwolf7302
      @dreamwolf7302 6 ปีที่แล้ว +142

Richard, every year, 1-2 million violent crimes are stopped, simply by brandishing a firearm (pulling the weapon, withoutnusing it), roughly 60% of these involve women, who draw a firearm on a male attacker.
Now lets think about this for a moment.
We enact this law that allows ANYONE to claim you are too dangerous to possess a firearm.
Young Tammy, 18, excited to be in college, but smart and safe, so she keeps a small pistol in her purse.
Well, Dick the Stalker, wants to be with her, whether she agrees or not, but that gun...well thats a risk he isnt willing to take.
"Hello 911 what is your emergency?" Yes, i feel that Tammy in the dorms is a suicide risk, and she keeps a pistol with her. "Understood sir, thank you for your concern."
2 days later, Tammy is Disarmed and 2 weeks after that, after she is reported missing, they find her mutilated corpse in the dumpster behind In-'N-Out.
"What tragedy, what horror, how can women possibly defend themselves."
Restraining you might say. Its the best solution.
Well a restraining didnt help my close friend who ended up taking his own life 2 years ago after his ex girlfriend killed his dog, and left its mutilated corpse on his front step.
Nice fancy piece of paper he had, saying "Look lady, you cannot come within 500 yards of his residence, or 500 feet of his person."
I owe my own life to the Smith and Wesson M&P40 i keep holstered on my waist.
Ever seen what happens a 1,100 pound bull moose gets a brain parasite, and goes vicious?
I found out the hard way, and if the thing hadnt slammed into my truck first, i wouldnt have been able to draw in time to drop the bastard before i was stomped to death.

Ezra Patty I Believe they are talking about the 2 time convicted felon carring a handgun involved in a shooting that they play on the news as another crazy gun owner goes nuts, when in reality he wasn’t even able to legally possess a firearm let alone own one. Those are the people I’m tired of ruining my gun rights. A convicted felon commits a criminal act the second they take possession of a firearm period end of story convicted of it or not(here in lies the problem we won’t enforce the laws already on the books) start throwing the stupid fucking thugs in prison every time they get caught and the’ll knock that shit off. I believe it is supposed to be five years which in my opinion is unenforceable they need to go to the more realistic 30, then 60, then 90, Ext. That way you could enforce the law without completely breaking the back of the penitentiary system not to mention reduced officer involved shooting (felons are likely to kill over a five year sentence vs 30 days).

mark p we have something like this already in place. If anyone wants to give you hell all they have to do is call the child protection agency and report to them that they think you may be abusing your children. If that happens all hell will break loose on you. Your rights will be violated and they will rummage through your house and question your children and then when they don’t find anything they will wait a little while and come back for a recheck. All this because someone had it out for you and wanted to mess with you. I know several people this had happened to and the ones who reported them are anonymous and will never be held accountable. So if they did this with the guns you own it will be bad.

The federal government was supposed to be training militias consistently to defend the States. They failed to do so. I forgive you for being rude and if you are rude again i will forgive you again, it merely show i have won.
Now for your oh so simple point, there is a gun debate in the US, but the NRA gives a lot of money to the government to make sure nothing happens. Trump took 31 million dollars from the NRA.
In the minutes and hours after a teenage gunman killed 17 people at a high school in Parkland, Florida, politicians began what has become something of a grim ritual following mass shootings: they offered “thoughts and prayers” to the victims and their families.
The response, as it has in the past, drew fierce criticism from Democrats and supporters of stricter gun control legislation, who view the condolences as woefully inadequate as mass shootings become more frequent and more lethal.
Partisanship and the power of the gun lobby has helped derail several recent attempts in Congress to pass measures that would impose restrictions on the sale of firearms. And on Wednesday, in the wake of yet another mass shooting, Republican congressman who oppose gun control legislation while accepting millions from the gun lobby found themselves in the glare of the public eye.
On Wednesday, Bess Kalb, a writer for the late night television show Jimmy Kimmel Live! responded to lawmakers offering prayers by tweeting the amount of contributions they received from the National Rifle Association (NRA).
The New York Daily News joined the criticism, tweeting politicians’ campaign donations from gun rights groups and their grade from the NRA.
The NRA is a powerful force in Washington, claiming a grassroots membership of nearly 5 million Americans. The group is responsible for a lion’s share of contributions from gun lobbyists - and the money has gone disproportionately to Republicans.
      Record election spending
The nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics estimated that during the 2016 election, the NRA and its affiliates spent a record $54m to secure Republican control of the White House and Congress, including at least $30.3m to help elect Donald Trump.
But experts have caution that the relationship between contributions from pro-gun groups and Congress’ reticence to change the nation’s gun laws is complicated at best. The NRA accounts for just a fraction of the contributions lawmakers receive, and the group doesn’t crack the top 50 in terms of spending to the lobby the federal government.
As students mourned their friends in Parkland, those frustrated by Congressional inaction trained their fire on Republicans who had received money from the NRA and the gun lobby and demanded they do more than offer “thoughts and prayers”.
      Direct contributions and ‘outside spending’
On Thursday, House Speaker Paul Ryan incurred liberal wrath when he told a local radio station:“I think we need to pray, and our hearts go out to these victims. And I think, as public-policy makers, we don’t just knee jerk before we even have all the facts and the data.”
According to the center, Ryan has received $49,650 in direct contributions from the NRA during his nearly two decades in Congress. The figure represents only a fraction of the money spent on the candidate and does not account for “outside spending” that benefits the candidate such as campaign ads and other lobbying efforts.
Among other Republicans who were chastised for offering sentiments include senators Marco Rubio of Florida, Rob Portman of Ohio and Ted Cruz of Texas.

    • @jderpz23
      @jderpz23 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

Christopher Munn believe it or not, school shootings with legally acquired weapons occur way less than you would think. Black on black violence wth _illegally_ acquired firearms occurs much more. And guess what. School shootings would occur much less if bullying occurs much less, and it could be prevented by running risk analysis checks on jokes, and preventing categorization of people based on their favorite activities or the way they dress. Look at Australia, gun violence occurs much more often with a gun ban, rather then 2A pro states.

If you treat anybody bad enough, for long enough and they're bound to snap. Millenials refuse to take responsibility and want a "feel good" response instead of looking into the root cause of the shooter's mental health problems.
What those stupid anti gun kids don't realize, and don't say anything about, is that vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for teenagers. But...we don't hear anything about more car control.
If that shooter had his guns taken away under 1 of these laws that violate due process, what's to keep him from getting a car and running kids down in a crosswalk?
Taking away guns from crazies is a good idea, but not when it violates due process and not when it doesn't address whatever is causing the crazy.

That's why the Department of Homeloss Security instructed the Coward County police department to STAY outside, so they could follow the instructions of the Democratic Party. Think about it, the public schools are one of the only places left that have No Gun Signs posted everywhere. If Trump or anybody else made No Gun Signs illegal, the Democratic party would be livid and foaming at the mouth (more so than usual). You want to stop public assaults on people then make the bad guys think that even if EVERYBODY doesn't have a gun, Somebody does and it's up to the bad guy to figure out which one does. Don't kid yourself, the democrats don't care how many children die as long as the media gets the story and runs with it. All of these attacks from Sandy Hook up until today are the only ways the democratic party can try to sway the thoughts of Americans to take the guns away. It won't stop. I used to think that it would be great to eliminate ALL guns. Anyone with a half a brain knows that's impossible as with some simple tools and just a little brain, you can make your own gun out of just a few parts. The first time you stare down the barrel of a rifle or a handgun, your whole life changes. I can't get rid of the guns, then I want to be armed to be equal. The biggest problem we have today is that there are still forces orchestrating all of these mass assaults and they are Government employees. Until Hillary, Bill Clinton, Eric Holder, Loretta Lynch, James Comey are wearing orange vests, I will no longer believe in the justice system. Sorry but Trump can't fire everybody he wants to fire, O'bama made sure when he put people in strategic positions so they can carry on the downfall of America. Here's a simple idea, Google how many laws are there in the United States? It's not the laws that are the problem, it's the fact that the Laws are not enforced. How can a Judge of any kind say that throwing illegals out this country is unconstitutional? They don't know the law. The constitution only applies to Citizens of America.
This is only my opinion and like my dad many years ago said, "Opinions are like A$$holes, everybody has one". I'm a Viet Nam era military veteran and I'm sorry that It's now come down to the United States of Amerika.
We used to be a free country and now because of greed for money and power the US is just like most 3rd world countries, it's just now we have nothing but fools and crooks running the country. Trump needs all the help he can get and I'm ready if he'll just give me a call.

I really wish people would stop using the term "Law-Abiding Citizen" when they're trying to describe someone of good moral character. The reason I say this is because some laws are unjust, immoral and sometimes, downright evil and SHOULD be broken! When someone says "Law-Abiding citizen", to me, that means "sheep". By definition, law-abiding citizens do not stand up against tyranny. A law-abiding gun owner would immediately turn in his or her gun if they were made illegal. Law-abiding citizens in WWII Germany turned in their Jewish neighbors to the government to be exterminated. Law-abiding citizens ALLOW tyranny to happen! So, please, if you're trying to describe someone that is just a good human being, please come up with a better phrase.

Which made it that much more terrifying. Never before or since has such a small group held a larger people in the grip of fear that the Gestapo managed to. OK when the Gestapo rounded suspects up they used some pretty advanced enhanced interrogation techniques too. Sessions few lived to speak of. I suppose some of that information made it onto cards too. I think they were mostly sadists though and just did that for fun. In the end it really doesn't matter who is innocent, and who is guilty. Just so long as folks stay afraid.

K R Knfmkr Yes: many years ago i lived in a city housing project, NOONE at all was allowed to possess a firearm! There are always miserable people in this world, they tend to congregate in such settings as city housing, food stamp offices, etc. If anyone was pissed at their neighbor, or simply had a heated disagreement over something, etc., they'd call 911!!! They'd make up stories about the person they were disgruntled at, and say what they could to get them arrested, put in a psych ward, get evicted, etc. If you've seen the tactics that BBQ BECKY uses on TH-cam, then you've seen the crap that I'm talking about! Yes; there are alot of schmucks like "law makers" that are out there that say all they can, after thinking up ways of twisting the truth, to cap the rights of American citizens. In 1991 or in 1995: Bill Clinton tried selling the United States constitution to the French government for 2.1 million dollars. Sometime in the late 80's France offered to buy back the statue of Liberty, for the same amount. (aside from that) There are some states like California: that look for ways to pass so-called "LAWS" that can easily ruin a persons name, job, reputation, family, and anything else in their life - all to disarm them! So if someone doesn't want YOU to own & bear arms; they'd only need to tell the police that you are angry and have a firearm or GUN. I have witnessed with my own eyes how they almost busted down doors with Nazi-like behavior and language: because someone said untrue things to the police. Whenever someone uses that magic curse word "GUN", someones elses life gets ruined. In the wild west, that's when bullets started to fly! I hope that i made sense to someone out there. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Here's my two cents, maybe all of the gun owning, Constitution supporting, law abiding, and non liberals, should bail out of California. If enough people leave the People's Democratic Republic of California, they won't have enough taxpayers left to run the nanny state programs, and they'll go bankrupt. When they run crying to the Federal government for a bailout, put conditions on the Federal taxpayer money, such as recinding all of the unconstitutional state and local gun laws, and restoring the Second Amendment to California. If the Federal government did this in all these antigun states, there would be a massive turnaround in favor of our inherent Rights. We could call it the California solution. Also they could hold this over the heads of the Senators and Representatives in Congress. As in, "California wants this spending bill passed for X reason", " Well, if you want this, you need to recind these gun laws".
