I honestly don't know how this show actually made it to episode 529 with the performances...even for 1976 its still bad compared to the shows that were on the air at the time in the period - Sullivans, Matlock, Chopper Squad etc....
The hospital in The Young Doctors was the only one on earth where the staff spent more time in intensive care than the patients did
Pixie Mason. My favourite Prisoner character. She even refers to nursing procedures in her first episode inside.
In the 1980s, I worked for David Jones department store in Brisbane. I used to regularly have coffee with John Dommett
I like how there's an ashtray in the staff lounge.
The 70s
Unintentionally hilarious 😂
I always wanted to see Ada in a mask at the beginning while they are in the operating theatre 😂- loved this show, still do, happier times ❤
The actress who played Kim didn't have much luck in soaps. When she played Eve Wilder in Prisoner she got hung by the other prisoners.
She started off nice as pie but was the phantom lagger in Prisoner.
They were rubbish doctors and nurses. The nurse is screaming hysterically and two doctors are saying get help from other doctors 😂
If only Crawfords hadn’t succeeded in tempting Lynda away from Grundy’s to to their Cop Shop
Stefan Dennis, amazing in Neighbours, amazing here on YD, the Peter Pan of Sustrailian soap, the boy who
never grew up, and he doesn't seem to age!
This has strong "Garth Merengi's Dark Place" vibes.
Even as a youngster, I had quite the crush on Dr. Holland
The only bit of good acting was from the bullet
In retrospect some of the worst acting Ive ever seen hahaha. Classic TV.
Was this a daytime soap opera? I watch Prisoner. I'm American.
It was daytime when shown in the uk. In Australia I don’t know but may have been evening.
@@spikeyroberto It was shown at 6pm on Channel 9 weeknights. I am having flashbacks!
@@nickatnights on one of the commentaries a writer/director who worked on the show said it aired at 6:30pm in Australia, after the evening news.
It varied by state, but generally around 6ish. Some stations showed hour long episodes about 7.30
HTV aired this episode Monday 18/01/1988 15.30 - would TVS have been before this? They had 658 16/01/1989.
Bit dumb to run to their aid when the gunman could still have been firing. Also didn’t seem much urgency to call the police.
No Crime scene..no forensics

I guess it was the dumping ground of bad acting and writing and trash tv...while those other shows aimed for better quality product
This was the era of M*A*S*H in the USA....
"Get help,"
9:01 Would this flashback have been just before this episode?
Dennis never liked Peter Holland.
