Did you ever figure this out on your iPhone !!? I just recently was in Zoom, and without continuity camera, my iPhone 11 just showed up in the Zoom menu selection and I could choose to use it as a webcam. I never did anything. I found it incredibly cool while at the same time incredibly invasive. I think the key was when I connected my phone to my computer to upload photos and since I marked the computer as trusted it just without my knowledge.

Hello, I have an IPhone 12 PRO and a Mac Book PRO with Sonoma 14.2.1. Both are running on the most current update. I can access continuity camera and use my IPhone as the webcam. That works. But I do not have video effects as an option when I click what you did at the top right of the screen. Also, is there a way to zoom in and out while using the iPhone as the webcam. I need to zoom in a little.

Strange that you can't get it to work. I didn't even know this was an option. My iPhone 11 just automatically started trying to connect when I was in Zoom. I saw it in the video selection items and out of curiosity I selected iPhone and my phone started chiming. All I had to do was allow the process to complete. After I dismissed it. It said, I needed to connect via wire. I never did but it was still there under the video "carrot" for use the next time I was on Zoom. This time I selected it and it worked. It thought it was cool and disturbing at the same time. Hmmmm . . . I have never used it for a call but I do have the Zoom app installed on my phone. Perhaps that is the trick.

Is there a way to rotate the iPhone camera that’s filming? I want to film vertically but when I hold my phone vertically, it just zooms in from the horizontal video instead of rotating the camera, so my video ends up being zoomed in. I’ve tried rotating the aspect ratio and it just zooms in more from the horizontal camera. If that makes sense, is there a solution? Thanks

@@UbuntuPersonNoMint WDYM? There's plenty of programs from Apple that are supported on Windows and Vice vera. I doubt Microsoft (Who doesn't make phones) would intentionally block phone features on Mac computers to incentivize buying a Windows computer. Apple is the one that sells 600 dollar wheels for a computer case and uses child labor in China so it's not all that surprising. It's crazy that I need to spend 2k on a IMAC to get all the features out of a 1000$ phone that I paid for.
