To me, HappyFaceRnt revolutionized & rejuvenated Kpop with *Dreamcatcher* horror concepts. Till this day, this bop remains one of my fav song & as for the MV.. It.. Is.. EPIC !!! 😱😅👍
I love it when groups preform some of their first songs again- I remember when this cake our thinking the choreography was so hard- and now it looks so flawless and easy for them.
Thankfully the show at least gave us 3 amazing stages (tho i hope we get to see the version of Chase Me with the Daydream outfits that they did lol 👀). Chase Me truly was the turning point in their career, re-debuting and becoming the first girl group to do a performance rock concept, launching them into doing well enough that they can do world tours (something girl groups cant do easily), having such a breadth & catalogue of consistently amazing music, and just being lovely & kind & humble. They are group everyone will look back on with such amazement bc they really are doing something so incredible in the greater scope of kpop.
At that time they were new to this kind of music in Korea. And they are still unique today. And I love her for that. And - they create trends - albeit (unfortunately) with a time lag. They have now created their own great and catchy genre (at least for Korea) - but hardly anyone notices it. Instead, most of the world listens to "bubble-gum pop" with meaningless lyrics. Sad.
Girls one day you will archive it, just remember that the Qeen was a child and girls now you’re growing just keep on hooping, fighting, and comeback again our hands will be there for you. Fighting 👊🏽
