Eagle’s performance at the EO this year is one of the most impressive feats in sporting history. He’s been off the tour, rehabbing a significant seemingly now chronic shoulder injury, flies in to Finland to battle with McBeth who has not lost at the Beast in a decade and averages over 10 under par per round without throwing a single forehand. To commit to leftie backhands and touchy turnover putter shots to compensate. Absolutely legendary performance and it was amazing to watch. Congratulations to Eagle and the hard work he must have been putting in while being off tour.
I think that's a stretch... In sporting history? I mean eagle is my favorite player and super glad he won. But in sporting history.... he's not pushing himself to the ultimate physical limit here. He's not MJ with the flu winning game 5 in 97... he's just throwing disc's no forehands lol
@@ryanm894 MJ didn't have the flu, that entire thing was made up.... they talked about it in the last dance. I'm with OP, been a sports fan for 25 years, never seen anything like this
@@lsapg09 lol STOP.... you've never seen anything like this? Must not watch real sports. I mean even 2019 tigers masters win is in a whole different world than this.... eagle literally just took 6 months off.... And obviously putted the whole time.
I followed lead card during the last three rounds witnessing the battle between (dare I say) the best two golfers in the world. It was a wonderful weekend, and I actually managed to catch the 5th disc that Eagle threw into the crowd (S-line cloudbreaker with both the eagle stamp and his written name on it. The disc has some scuffing on the edges which is really cool. I also visited the European Open in Nokia back in 2019 and it was an amazing event, but this time takes the cake. Eagle wins + I get a priceless disc? What a fantastic day that was. See you in Nokia 2023. :D
Watched every round on the DGN site. Eagle and Paul seriously played the most elite disc golf I've ever seen, with shot selection being so precise. Was almost sad to see Paul not win at the one he talked about really wanting. But was so exciting and adrenaline pumping to see Eagle take the win down at the end. His left hand did some good work. It came down to some supreme disc placement from perfect rollers and up shots that left Eagle in target locked on mode. Incredible! I really wanna see the McBeast keep the same energy he had in the rest of the years big tournaments. But it's also totally understandable that the guy might just need a little rest and reset himself. Look at what that little bit of just seclusion time did for Simon and Eagle. Love the game, love that coverage is growing and amping up all these events even more! Disc Golf World Tour Series has a really nice ring to it if it can come to existence.
Smooth as silk! That slow and steady approach is absolutely impeccable! Eagles foot work is flawless!!! Much love well deserved victory!!! Eagle's on another level for real!!! If I were him I'd stick to left hand backhand instead of side arm. Throwing sidearm is extremely hard on the shoulder! Much love and respect✊! P.s. that rainmaker is sick!!!
Colorado represent baby! First Joe takes down the master's worlds championship and now Eagle in impressive form dethrones the beast?! Wow! Big ups my man! That's a huge victory!
Watching the bird play at this level... woah. Just every aspect is polished to perfection: controlled power, accuracy, finesse, and strategy. oh... and clutch C2 putting.
How The Beast was able to even be that close is phenomenal. Eagle was in a zone big time. I bet Paul was like, what do I have to do with this guy! Unbelievable
I think McBeast is starting to feel like the mid-90's Atlanta Braves... always right there, but facing someone who is just having a career weekend or gets that miracle at the end.
Hi DGN, love your work, BUT, could I suggest you don't release these winning player videos so soon after the event? It gives away who won (Eagle) and I was intending to purchase the subscription but now feel less motivated to do so. Again, love your work, but if the spoilers could be released sometime afterwards it would be great. Thank you
Hey Disc Golf Network, nice job driving down viewership 90%. It’s not the money for a subscription, I just don’t have 30+ hours per week to watch frisbee. I strongly prefer Jomez post production, that’s something I would pay for.
Literally clicked to find the coverage and the first two videos are Eagle and Page highlights. Thanks for spoiling it before I could watch hours of coverage. At least I know to unsub now.
Using an off hand backhand during a major and pulling out a victory against the GOAT. Really amazing stuff.

Big eagle fan he's still in his prime, Tiger winning the 2019 masters nothing tops that
I'm so happy Eagle McMahon is back
The fact they had Brian's "it's not like he's gonna tombstone this into the green" is so great
So good to see Eagle play at this level again! Maybe his best ever tournament without his supreme forehand. How?
Who isn't happy to see a return like this from Eagle? Amazing stuff!
Still watching this after 1 year. I have to say, watching this live on DGN was absolutely incredible The McBattle will forever be remembered!
I thought I was watching his 2022 highlights until I realized this was one tournament. Amazing!

The amount of talent this guy's has is crazy.
Epic win by Eagle so happy to see him out there again!!! Gratz Eagle!!!

I'm convinced if Eagles left shoulder goes out, he will powergrip the disk with his toes and start throwing with his leg.
big win for Eagle, especialy after the injury.
During the injury, even!
Played for 12 years and eagle can 100% outdrive me with his off hand.. and I'm not mad about it. That's incredible.
Colorado represent baby! First Joe takes down the master's worlds championship and now Eagle in impressive form dethrones the beast?! Wow! Big ups my man! That's a huge victory!
This was a 72 hole playoff between McMahon and McBeth. Maybe the the best disc golf we have ever seen (well, I didnt see it). They crushed everyone!
Love the compilation, but why is the videoquality so bad?
The livestream was like 480/720p the entire show.
Watching the bird play at this level... woah. Just every aspect is polished to perfection: controlled power, accuracy, finesse, and strategy. oh... and clutch C2 putting.
The DGPT with the 480p cameras.
Proud of him. When I saw him get the same injury I had, untreated until recently, I was curious how he'd be coming back. Great win.
It's the left handed hat toss for me 😏
The battle between Eagle and Paul all weekend was so good you could make a documentary about it.
What an absolute legend
Lets gooooo Eagle! So happy to see you back and dominating once again.
Congratulations Eagle! You deserved this win!
WOOOOOOW♥️ Incredible Eagle♥️ Congratulations 🎊
Remember when eagle got glasses and went from super saiyan 1 -> 2? I felt sad for the rest of the field. Go Eagle!

Why was there no coverage from this event? That sucks
The Mcbest in the world Lets gooo
class act
Props to Eagle!
haters?
just keep it to yourself
Eagle McMahon. In his element.
What happened to the post production content with big Jerm that was listed on the website as coming?
Eagle turned into Oprah McMahon! Love to see him making it rain with the rainmaker!!!

Where can I see regular round coverage of the European open?

More parking here than at Mall of America
I feel like I didn't see any "highlights" of hole 15

Any Nico highlights lol
When will these guys realize that you shake your competitor's hand first?
Thin Young Bird! 😸
With this videoquality they have the nerve to ask money to watch the coverage? Ahahaha get real
What was the first of his Major's. I thought this was his first but they said second in the video.
Konopiste open
@@tobiaslid8752 thanks
I'm Channing my name to McSchuler..
He's a great player, but he definitely had some extremely lucky breaks on a few shots.
The video quality is so bad that I can not imagine myself ever paying for this
Love this blurb video, but I feel like dgpt is taking the love out of disc golf. Pay to play/see, wrong direction for growth
Paula better retire.
That middle finger he sneakly gave Paul at the end. Classy
Is it fun to just lie on the internet?
@@misterjoedickinson watch that hug closely and who is standing behind his girl. Also, pretty weird way to hold a disc
Ah yes, and then continues to give a speech citing Paul as the GOAT and how they are both winners.
@@clawshooter5867 you mean him gripping his disc? Get real
