No turbo to blow up, no cambelt to change... simple proven engine with 3 cylinders, we have the aygo 2005 that's 18yrs old goes like a rocket, the more miles 103k the faster these get, we also have 2017 aygo with 40k miles just the same...cheap fun cars easy to service and keep them for years, nice review 👍

Similar story with us, 21 plate Aygo and 11 plate C1 on our drive. Sure they come from the same factory but the Aygo feels way more solid.

Simply best supermini. Totally reliable, easy to service, super frugal, fast enough, comfy. My daughter has had the 1.0krfe yaris from 17k miles. Now at 100k. Does 60mpg all serviced by me. 2010 year needed, back box and battery. Had one of these as a courtesy car. Was gobsmacked. So refined and cruise control. Will be my next car

ive just ordered this car in the Pure auto spec, I have had 2 previous Aygo, a 2016, 2019 versions, this is obviously a bigger version but the auto is much slicker and smoother on this new model than my previous 2. I love these little cars, they do what they are designed to do so well.

Just from watching some videos I'm really getting the sense that this could be more of a true heir to the original mini that the actual new mini is. A small, wide wheel based, fun car to drive. Basically a go cart with power steering.

You’re enthusiasm knows no bounds . One of the last cars of its kind , sadly .

A great honest runabout. I get the slight impression that you enjoyed the time with the Aygo X. I like it for what it is not for what it isn't designed to be. Great review Bex.

Excellent video. I’m picking up my 22 plate Aygo X Exclusive this week. I’m trading in my 62 plate Yaris, and it’s been flawless until this week when the clutch has gone. It’s why I’m sticking with Toyota - they’re so reliable.

I keep saying Aygo X not Aygo Cross as it's correctly named 🤣 Love mine and average 63mpg or more on my commute (mix of both A roads and motorway, staying at around 63moh). Very pleased with it, and all the equipment I need 👍👍

the smile says it all .. I test drove the Aygo Play this afternoon .. it was pretty well faultless . The gear changes were nice and positive . now all I need is for the toyota salesman to stop wheeler dealing and offer me a sensible price for my part exchange .

just bought one. 2022 aygo x. loving it so far. perfect back up car for longer journeys that our nissan leaf cant manage.
imho avoid the auto. harsh noisy and weak. i tested both and the manual is way better to drive

I got one now, fresh 2024 Aygo X Play cvt. It's so lazy, OMG. Be ready to be honked at at the traffic lights, outridden by other cars and trail behind the trucks on the highway, because overtaking takes eternity. So maybe manual is a go to for this car.
But it looks cute and roars funny.

It gets much louder (up to one third) and goes silent. After 10k

I’d really like to get one of these. One of the things that puts me off is that the replacement tyres are so expensive. I’ve got a Micra and recently managed to get new ones for about £60 each. The tyres for the Aygo X are £130+

It's really not that small on the outside. In the front, it's wider than a Yaris looking front, believe it or not. The last Gen Aygo, 2020, my Aygo is a real city car. This one doesn't know what it is, i.e Suv, Cross over, car....segmant A or B.... but it's short and looks like an old Ford KA from the side. All cars are growing bigger to cater for oversized younger generation of today. It's not the fastest car on the road. It's probably the slowest as it is using an old 1litre engine with no Turbo, and should be much cheaper than £20,000😢😢

Bex…thanks for this informative and wonderful review of this vehicle. I love it, sadly most vehicles are not manual anymore. I love the feel, and fun of driving them! 🩵🩵🩵
