As that was the period when Robert Kelker Kelly had just left days as Bo and I think while Carolyn was, still headwriter and John valente was ep they wanted to bring Robert Kelker Kelly back as Sam and get Sandra back as Amanda and do something with evan bates to bring Sam and amanda back together but then John valente was moved to as the world turns to replace laurance caso who was burnt out and told Ken l fitts he was going to leave when his contract was up. So Ken l fitts graciosely let laurance caso leave early. And that's how Jill faren phelps got moved from guiding light to another world which was a big mistake. As John valente was getting aw for the first time in years back on track. Meanwhile micheal liabson came back to p and g but replaced Jill at guiding light and would like Jill make some bad mistakes. Personally micheal liabson should have been sent to as the world turns as ep as that's where he was before he got promoted in 1988 and was sent to another world. Meanwhile I still mourn the 3 p and g shows but seriosely aw should have been moved from NBC to CBS in like 1985. So it would have been airing along with its sister shows atwt and guiding light who by the way In 1985 at CBS laurance caso was the vp of daytime programming for CBS and was the one who convinced p amd g to rehire Doug Marland and literely helped save guiding light and as the, world turns. Just thought I would share.
Yes we know Richard Donna, swajeski was a terrible headwriter and my god so many miscasts which started under her as headwriter and micheal liabson and by the way concerning iris and bev McKinsey their was only one from daytime I could see replacing bev in 1988 and that was marg dusay who ended up in 1992 replacing bev at guiding light as Alexandra Spaulding but you can't replace bad writing. Because I saw recently harding Lemays brief return as headwriter in 1988 and it was freaking good you had evan bates as a Roger thorpe like 6 month vilian type charecter right out of the Doug Marland atwt playbook you had the frames suddenly almost like the Snyders in the frame farm kitchen. And the show looking good I don't know what the heck happened in 1988 but micheal liabson screwed up with harding Lemay leaving and then replacing him with Donna, swajeski. Which started all these stupid storylines mis casting charecters not bieng written properly and just down right charecter assignations like Jake, Jamie desorassing Jamie and Dennis to be Jake's age. Ruining Kathleen come on Jake a rapist ruining a popular super couple with Jake marley let's see Sam fowler Amanda Cory. Not writing Sam properly either especially after Robert kelker Kelly left but it started with him still playing Sam in 1989. Lesson here eps and headwriters know your history because fans will never forget. And they will tell you.
