This guy deserves at least a million subs. Seriously I'm binge watching all his videos and he's top notch. Kind of looks like the Baltimore Ravens coach too.
From Atlanta, have had this burger several times when it was an "off-menu" item, you'd have to get there at 7-8 and wait until 10 in order to get in line for a burger- nothing compares. Now they have H&F burger restaurants that just serve the burger, and an H&F bakery to get the buns if you really want to do it at home. They also make the ketchup, mustard, and pickles, in-house. Really glad to see you recreate it.
The next awesome Burger and I love both of your channels. There is a saying in Germany: he has his heart in the right place and that's what I think every time I see a video of you. Oh, the burger is fantastic and cheers from Bavaria 👍👍👍
I love this channel! It’s so wholesome, you clearly love it yourself and I get to learn some burger history. So glad you made this in addition to ballistic bbq!
Great video, sorry for the equipment malfunction, but also kind of glad it happened, makes for a powerful product review. I've been wanting a meat grinder myself, so thanks for saving me the headache. Also really looking forward to the meat grinder explosion video!!!
I’ve been crushing MANY burgers lately (thanks to you & George) but I think I’m gonna have to try this red onion classic after seeing your reaction! Thanks, Chef!
Being an ATLien I’ve actually had this burger twice and it does live up to the hype. I’m glad you opted out of the ketchup and mustard as that’s how I enjoy mine also. Just a simply put together burger with top notch ingredients.
Looks delicious! Would love to see more videos on burger grind combinations. Been following your channels for many years and really appreciate all the work you put into these videos. Keep up the ballistic burger life!
Great video, I do the griddle. I also bbq with natural lump wood. The griddle is good for a delicious greasy diner style burger, but nothing beats a natural flame cooked burger. Love the videos. Keep them coming.
Great job, looks like an awesome smash burger. Assembly ideas (toppings/bottomings) are almost infinite. I believe the key to success is the double smash burger sandwich with some crunch (Maillard reaction) around the edges. I prefer two 2.5 ounce patties. Good job.
Cooked myself a burger so had to back through to see what I hadn’t watched! The UK 🇬🇧 is miles behind the US when it comes to burgers! I just wish I could get descent American cheese!! 🤦🏼♂️ love burgers love watching burgers being cooked whilst eating burgers 🤣🤣🤣😂
I just bought a grinder (Altra.$87) thru Amazon. My first grind went great. I ground a lean sirloin roast with a thick lean bacon using the largest grind die. Double grinding. Great reviews.
I have a grinder I bought a few years ago now that works great. I saw this and thought for these simple burgers it would make life easier when a smaller machine. LOL! It took itself apart! I'll check out the Altra.
What you buy is what you get. I use a KitchenAid to grind all my burger meat and just works out fine using a larger grade. Greg I watch your videos all the time. Have a short out there on TH-cam and I follow your recipes for the Big Mac and Carroll's but you can't beat the Big Mac sauce.😊 Both are great., 👍
Love just the onions, cheese and butter as condiments too....that's all you need. Even just high quality beef, butter and cheese is lit. I feel like us Americans have gone over kill with the over powering condiments and sauces, but you don't need that if the ingredients are quality enough. And when you keep it more minimalistic, high quality cook & ingredients, it's actually better......perfect comparison is a well made pizza with just elite dough, simple san marzano sauce, fresh mozzarella and a good cook versus a Domino's Pizza that has a thousand ingredients in it. Simple and quality is always the best.
Greg , I think everyone should have one of them nice grinders. That burger really looks good , I'VE ALWAYS WANTED TO TRY BRISKET & CHUCK burger. I will now. 🍺🍺
I tell ya for small amounts of grinding I use my kitchenaid all the time. 5 lbs or so it beats bringing out one of my big ones. I hate to laugh, but that was funny. lol Great looking burger. Thanks for sharing buddy.
I get my hamburger and hotdog buns from Fuddruckers. (If you have them in your area). They are great buns. Baked every couple of hours and very reasonable. You do need to pre-order them before you pick them up.
So simply delicious! A couple of suggestions to add to your never ending list: Causwells and/or Popsons in SF, The Loyalist/The Region/Mott St. in Chicago :)
@@BallisticBurgers What are your thoughts on the Blackstone 28" vs the 36" Ace has the 28 with free cover and toolset for $199 will I regret only having 2 vs 4 burners?
Sup Greg, great burger, sometimes simple is a must when in a rush👍, that grinder fail was epic lol, I had one wasn't strong enough, so I guess lots have issues, KitchenAid always comes through, don't know if you have a chili's restaurant? They make a great burger 'secret sauce burger' almost 2 years now, insane, I tried to copycat bunch of times but I don't know what that is, mine have been good but not same, please try. Tyvm tc 🍔
Haha! You almost looked like cowboy Kent Rollins dancing around. Got to get me a meat grinder now. Famous Dave's bread and butter pickles. Little bit of sweet and a little bit of heat. I sometimes soak my onions in vinegar. Does the same thing with a little bit of sour flavor.
Burger looked awesome Greg! Simple is often best, but only when the quality is there. This burger is the textbook example of that theory. By the way, please dispose of that cheap grinder in the manner you suggested. Put the ballistic in Ballistic Burgers!
This guy deserves at least a million subs. Seriously I'm binge watching all his videos and he's top notch. Kind of looks like the Baltimore Ravens coach too.
I love it after he took a bite, he turns around and walks away. Coz it was effing good.
This might be one of the best reactions I’ve seen you have taking a bite, you almost broke into a little dance👍👍👍
haha
So simple and so good! Thanks for stopping by CJ!
This is not the little dance channel.....Need I say more...???
hey another CJ !
THE failure had me laughing 😁😁😁
That meat-grinder fail portion of the video had me laughing my arse off! That's a good-lookin' burger. Definitely trying this one.
Such a great looking burger, simple no nonsense. That’s why I love Bleecker Burgers. Simple no nonsense burgers.
I'll have to check out Bleecker Burgers. Thanks Steve!

Thank you! I was planning on calling the bakery to see if they ship, but I never got around to it. Next visit to ATL, I'm hitting H&F.
Can you still go to H&F and get a burger? Or is it permanently closed?
@@Gruuvin1 they're reopening soon according to their instagram
Absolutely Amazing. No Mayo No Lettuce. No Tomato 🍅. Just Perfect Beef Onions Pickles. & Cheese 🧀. ❤️❤️❤️. Thank You So Much 😊
That reaction when you take that first bite, speaks it all, lol
I love these simple burger recipes. A burger which can stand the test of time and be this simple is very telling of how good it actually is. Cheers!

Greg, your discussions here are so in-depth and valuable. You should mention this channel on the other one more often.
Oh we can see the steam! Good looking burger!!
Thanks Greg ❤️ Loving this new burger only channel

Making these tonight. Had one of these a couple weeks ago at the Braves game and it was incredible. No condiments needed

This is going to be my next smash burger. Looks so good and if it makes you turn and shed a tear 😉 then it has to be the one to try. Thanks.

Some supermarkets will package , what the call a “Chili Grind” which is just the larger diameter grind.
Best Burger Ever!!!
Once again, another fantastic video! Thanks Greg, really enjoying the new channel, down here in Straya!
Cheers Brendan!
Simple but delicious.
The sound effects! Yes!! Boiiing!!! 😂
this video is awesome!! Love the reaction!! Great channels both of them.
That looks awesome. Totally gotta try that one. Thank you
Nicely done sir!
The meat grinder sound effect legitimately made me laugh out loud ... both times! Well played, sir!

Request from Tennessee: Fat Mo's burgers, would love to see you do the big triple with everything.
Gonna' add that to my list right now. I love Tennessee and plan on visiting this coming Spring. Cheers David!
Oh ya. I just saw George Motz First We Feast do a video on Fat Mo's. Looked amazing!
My favorite part about this is when Greg says "I doubt you guys can see the steam" as a large cloud of steam billows in his face
I was happy to see that when I was editing. Cheers!
The last time I was in Atlanta I was on the way to Vietnam in 1968. Maybe it's time to go back there. Great video Greg. Too bad about the grinder...
Best burger I’ve ever had. You can get them at the Braves games also.
I now butter toast my buns every time but I learned from Solly's to use salted butter. It's what adds to the flavor. 👍
I did a Solly's Burger on the Ballistic BBQ channel. During my "research" I spoke with the owner. Great guy!
I love burgers so much lol
That looked pretty close to being the perfect cheeseburger!

You can also rinse onions, or jalapeños for 10+ minutes in cold running water, really changes the flavor profile. Cut the peppers razor thin.
It is really good.
