when electric current is passed through the electrolyte, the anode gradually dissolves and pure silver is deposited on the cathode.
and Impurities like Zn and Cu dissolve into the solution while gold (Au) settles down at the anode as anode mud.
Au and SiO2 can be obtained as anode mud in the extraction of Ag.

In the electrochemical series the substances are arranged in the decreasing order of electrode potential i.e. decreasing tendency for reduction to occur or power as oxidising agent. The elements at the top of the table have maximum tendency to get reduced and consequently they will act as good oxidising agents. SO iron should be reduced instead of copper right ?

Sir electroplating karwa diye h.....and ans should be gold...silica might be also ans,because we generally use silica for the formation of flux during electrolytic refining of iron....henceforth silica should have positive potential and thus it can settle if less reducing potential then silver

Good question. Typically aluminium statues are anodised. In anodisation, the object to be anodised is attached to anode. As it undergoes oxidation, a layer of oxide is formed. In case of aluminium, it is protective layer which sticks to its surface and gives a final product.
In electro plating, The object is attached to cathode.
