Just a bit of exploring on a day off. Fort tunnels, crap video but its all I can find. • Newhaven Fort Investig... HMS Forward. • HMS Forward WW2 Deep S...
Great video of the history, I love seeing these places. I had a google and that bunker to the north in the woods was apparently the entrance to an underground passageway leading eastwards to link with the fort.
FWIW National Coastwatch isn't actually the Coastguard. It's a volunteer organisation that decided to take on some of the lookout duties that the Coastguard used to do.
Its a great visit Newhaven Fort was a tenner when i went in a few months ago, and you get free access for the year if you show your ticket! Bargain! Nice to go for a swim on the beach at the bottom of the fort as well
Hi Jim Bob, really enjoyed watching your video, so interesting, 🙂 hope you're having a great holiday, take care ☺💝🏴 Xxxx
Thanks Paula. Just got back home and packed my bag ready for the next adventure.

Very interesting. 👍
So interesting to see all these abandoned places. Shame more can’t be repurposed. Thanks for sharing Bro 😎😘
I often think that it would not take much to open them to the public. It would help preserve them too.
Looks like a great place to explore. Thumbs up
Better when you can get to the under ground bits. 👍
Very interesting love finding things while out 🍻
Shame I could not show more.
HMS Forward has had the entrance cleared and is all visible now, although new fencing has been put up
I saw they were doing some work there the other day.
Great vid, Very Interesting thanks , looks good for a camp
It would be fun. 👍
Very enjoyable thank Jim.
Glad you liked it. 👍

Yes you are right. Found that out after I made the video. 👍

Its a nice place and so well preserved.
@@jim-bob-outdoors Newhaven fort is not a nice place such a disappointment.
@@Anonymous-rn9vr I have not been inside for a few years but always enjoyed it.
@@jim-bob-outdoors What do you like about it?
@@Anonymous-rn9vr the history and the fact that you can just wander about on your own.
Y'reckon your mystery structures in the woods are one of those cold-war observer posts/ bunkers?
Could be. The site is listed on the WW2 database as a machine gun post. Its something way bigger now. 🤔
Great little video mate something different...ady
I do this sort of thing quite often, but dont normally film it.
@@jim-bob-outdoors hi Jim you should do really only if you got time... ady
Ammo store on the building in Google Maps I think :)
Great commentary :-)
That's for watching. 👍
So much hidden secret places, such a shame its all bricked up and un explorable
You can get in the fort sometimes, but sadly not the WW2 bunker anymore.
If you ever want some one to send across rusty iron gurders over heights I'm the man 😂
I will give you a shout next time. 👍
