Yeah, Rosé has more of an angsty, Indie vibe. She was born in New Zealand and moved to Melbourne, Australia where she lived until she was sixteen. She spoke Korean at home but English was her first language. It's funny, Lisa became so fluent in Korean that she's corrected Rosé on her Korean! Anyway, if you feel like more Rosé, she was recently on a Korean TV reality show called SEA OF HOPE in which celebrities opened a small seaside beach bar/café where they cooked, served the customers and performed. Rosé was the first special guest on the show, she played guitar and keyboards on a few songs as well: Here are Rosé's performances on the show: *LUCKY* by Jason Mraz (duet) th-cam.com/video/lqAeYl05V2k/w-d-xo.html *THE ONLY EXCEPTION* by Paramore th-cam.com/video/2DUdg4dnse8/w-d-xo.html *READ MY MIND* by the Killers th-cam.com/video/_r92v-T4gSU/w-d-xo.html *SLOW DANCING IN A BURNING ROOM* by John Mayer (performed for the cast) th-cam.com/video/-S9OmJlMRFI/w-d-xo.html *IF I AIN'T GOT YOU* by Alicia Keys th-cam.com/video/V1gTGrL53aE/w-d-xo.html (sung with two other cast members) FYI this was an impromptu encore, they had just decided to do it and Rosé wasn't 100% familiar with the song, that's why she pulled the lyrics up on her phone. Her original song *GONE* th-cam.com/video/0Yn8-0nUiLk/w-d-xo.html ...and a must-see is her heartbreaking cover of *TIME SPENT WALKING THROUGH MEMORIES* (turn on subtitles) th-cam.com/video/mrUU_L-pfRU/w-d-xo.html
She always comes off as more mysterious and somber in comparison to the rest of the group. That makes sense. Thank you for explaining that. That's funny that Lisa would correct her Korean but Lisa is exceptional so it's not really that much of a surprise lol. Lisa is very talented and probably a perfectionist. Thanks for the links I will look into this. I use to be a big Jpop fan (I still am just not as much anymore). Groups like Halcali, Stereo Pony, Hearts Grow, Sowelu. Kpop is a different world. I'm on the fence about BTS but I may watch them one of these days.
My 2cents, being a bit critical (understanding free advice is often worth what you paid for it) .. I feel like you have good taste and often insightful takes on the videos, but when they are paused too often, too long and go off track it’s hard for the viewer to gain any sense of rhythm from the video. I’d say give a watch to a couple (this and the John Mayer cover as examples) and you may find the same .. on this video I tried to skip ahead if you went on too long (for me), and found I would come to a new point in the stoppage with you taking again .. when the video play is shorter than the stops it’s a review rather than a reaction imo. On the Mayer one, you went into the lyrics (of a cover) and the fact that she’s a girl in the middle of her Rose’s one big run and totally missed it, or just failed to even acknowledge it, which makes the viewer feel like you’re too busy talking about what you’re talking about to listen to the song. I keep saying viewer, I mean me so maybe it’s a singular opinion! This may just be for fun and that’s awesome too .. I’m just thinking from the standpoint of others getting to hear your often incisive reactions and great energy for good music. Either way, all the best and enjoy!
Thank you. I appreciate constructive criticism. You bring a valid point. It's something I noticed as well. In my more recent videos I have started to pause less. Often letting a verse play all the way through then discussing it. Also trying not to drone on more than I need to and keep my points more concise. It's easier with songs I already know versus a first time listen but I have been working on it. I feel what you're saying about the John Mayer cover. I guess what caught me is how intent and vibe can change based off the person singing. The way she sang just struck different to me and created it's own tone for me.
@@DigitalRuler48 we’re all working on something!! Just watched your Stay reaction, loved it. You even said at the end you didn’t have much to say because you were so into it lol … you know good music for sure! Here’s so some fun blackpink stuff to look into if you’d like: -love to hate me & you never know .. same vid, from their online concert, it’s live and you get them all clear as day. -Coachella 2019 .. they say it changed them for the better .. they didn’t expect anyone to know them, they slayed -Japan encore ddu ddu du remix .. it’s just so much fun and different -Jennie and Lisa Korean vs English rap .. did you know they record all raps in Korean and English (English version is for Japan)? This video takes all of them and puts them back to back even using the mv’s .. their ability to flow in both languages is impressive. -bonus: cracked guide to blackpink .. best single intro vid I’ve seen Take care!!
