Especially when names actually have meaning and then are just reduced to phonetic romanization but that doesn't stop anyone who likes the characters from finding out for themselves. Childe is not from Liyue and "childe" is just another english word meaning "young master". In the original chinese audio, Tartaglia is called "gongzi" which means young master so they translated it to "childe" in the eng version and it's also the reason why Childe is only called Tartaglia in some of the other languages since they don't have a word that can pass as a name with the meaning of young master (or something like that)
And Childe aka Tartaglia appears to be an Italian nickname for a stammerer, from Italian tartagliare 'to stutter'. It is also the name of a stock character in the Commedia del'Arte.
