Hey guys, thanks for making this one. Glad to get a sneak peek and in depth look at how the FordPass will interact when I get my maverick, which, as of Sunday, is within the 14 day period of expected delivery to the dealership!
9:45 I greatly appreciate this video, but I have one concern or recommendation. From what I have learned from vehicle manufacturers and other professional sources, it is best to stick with the recommended tire pressure (in this case, 35 PSI), and especially to avoid under-inflation. One source stated that the absolute lowest you would want to go is 31.5 PSI for a vehicle with 35 PSI recommended. The short-term effects on tire wear and fuel economy may be minor, but the long-term effects are more significant. For better comfort and ride, I prefer the 17-inch tires that come with the XL. Thanks for providing this video, and I look forward to future content. :)
Awesome. I ordered Azure Gray XLT Hybrid. Lux pkg and Black out pkg. Just went into production this week. Hopefully it won't take too long for delivery.
Don't leave the dealership with your new Ford, without the app being installed by your salesperson and it's working. Wife loves the horn /lights activation when in a parking garage or large lot and I can also see what store she's at to call her and order something not on her shopping list. Next perhaps explain the new tier changes in the rewards program. Also free pickup and delivery works well for service! No waiting in line at service.
By far THE most important feature of the FordPass system is your ability to turn it off, so it no longer communicates with the mother ship. To accomplish this (I had to wait for a hour on the Ford website chat room to get to a live agent who told me how to do this), start your vehicle and maneuver it to a location where it can find and connect to a cell tower. Now go into the onscreen menu and select FordPass, and you will find connectivity options that can now be turned off. Beyond that, NEVER connect your phone to the FordPass system, and turn off all the wifi and other connectivity options within the menu. Then happy motoring with peace of mind will commence.
Hi Tim, I have a question regarding brake lite activation when in adaptive cruise control. Do they turn on when cruise control is slowing the vehicle? Thanks for all your great videos. Sorry if this has been asked and answered before. Jerry Perata
I have always had luck scanning the vin in the dash plate behind the windshield. There is a QR code and I believe the app scans that QR code to work properly!
Can you suggest to ford for the app to show the current status of the door locks? I sometimes can’t remember if I locked the door. Would be nice to see in the app if the doors are locked.
I thought you could make your remote setup so it locks automatically after a couple of minutes my wife's car does it and it drives me crazy if she just got home and I go out to unload vehicle and it already locked it self
I just took delivery on a 2024 Maverick XLT in January. I did get Luxury Package option. Also I got Ford Co-Pilot 360 option as well. I thought that I would have adaptive cruise control which I have on my 2020 Escape and I really like it. I blew it in not making sure that I ordered with FORD COPILOT360 ASSIST like my Escape. Can the FORD COPILOT 360 be upgraded to ASSIST so one has adaptive cruise?
Thanks for the video. I believe I saw somewhere that you can tell the computer that the tire size has changed from 225/65/17 to 235/65/17. Can that be done through Fordpass? If not, do you know how that change can be made?
I know it can't be done in the app. Probably the service department needs to do that. But if you are talking about the tire pressure, the vehicle doesn't need to know the tire size. There is a sensor in the wheel.

That was great, @LongMcArthur! I definitely wouldn't mind a Maverick Monday on using the touch screen in the vehicle.

Mine is coming this week
Congrats. When did you order it? Is it a Hybrid?

That would be a good video. I did know this but didn't think about doing a video on it. Thanks for the comment.

Yes they do

Thanks Tim:-)

Bel-Tech has a lowering kit for the Maverick.
We’d to lower my maverick

No, XLT doesn't have Co-Pilot 360 Assist+ Package
You need to get that FordPass image updated to have the B-pillar delete option 😀
What's b pillar option
@@manuelcruseturner9138 Tim had removed the black vinyl wrap from his B pillar. He has a video doing it.
What type of oil should the Maverick have, half synthetic and half regular or full synthetic.
When will the 2025 order banks open up for the Maverick this year
Any day now
Probably summer

So, If someone steals my Maverick, the Ford App will tell me where it is?
!
Once they stop and turn it off.
what's the max distance from the vehicle that remote start will work?
Great question. I'm not sure, maybe 80 feet. The remote will light up to let you know if it started or not.
Great information very helpful. As always you guys are great. Thanks
Does the Maverick app monitor the vehicle or let you know if there’s something wrong with the vehicle or need to be fixed?
There is a message section that lets you know about recalls and other things about the vehicle like the vehicle starting and such.
