Skiing a Sheer Cliff Face | Jackson Hole Legendary Lines

- A first ski decent in the Jackson Hole sidecountry. Corah's Couloir is less-so a couloir and more-so a patch of snow on a sheer cliff face. The video shows how Darrell Miller concocted this messed up line, snowboarded it and then put the idea in Teton's head. Teton set a goal to ski it as fast as possible. Despite the technical crux move, he managed to get in and out in 20 seconds.

Sheer faces like that are giant snow year,ONLY,type lines.
Bravo you all, that one is bad ass!
I was lucky enough to get the call and film that pull back footage of Darrell Millers first decent. He called it Cocky Couloir at the time.
I didn't know that, awesome tidbit!
Sick edit! Way to be including Darrel and Trav. Respect. 🙏 Thank you Travis. RIP 🙏
RIP McAlpine!
Just when I think theres no friggen way you could kick things up another notch... YOU DO. Im hopin some sponsors are starting to take notice! Thanks... enjoyin the content.
appreciate that amigo!
Congratulations! That takes lots of talent and lots of balls. Looks great on video also. Nicely done!
Much appreciated!
is that even a couloir at this point? just looks like a cliff face to us normal skiers XD
props for doing that, i could only dream of doing that someday...
Thanks, you're right, it's not really a couloir. only slightly. I think couloir just works with the alliteration of Darrell's daughter's name.
Making that look easy!
Nice!
you entered the main chute at the latest possible time. Looks like there’s at least one more logical/direct entry higher up
Yeah, I entered there so as not to slough out my line. The other entry was considered though!
@@teton_brown Smart. Thanks for the explanation!
Neato! You're mental mate :D
Looked pretty casual...just don't fall entering the line up high!
Nice
Sick vid!! Render/upload them in 4k for higher bitrate, even if the footage is 1080p 😉
Woops, yeah, thanks for the tip
Jh still hasn’t arrived pow town 😢
Truth be told…straight line is the easy way out
You’re partially right. Speed in terrain like this also introduces risk as decisions must be made much faster. But Billy goat hopping down is also just not as cool
Is there another video? Want to see without all the editing.
Also what about Darrel Millers send? Want to see 👀

@@teton_brown awesome!!
Straight running and time in the air while you have skis on. Skiing or? What might the Obit say happened?
Nothing, cuz I stoped that shit and came out alive
I thought sheer meant perpendicular. But apparently, it means perpendicular or nearly so. I wonder how many degrees we are talking?
about 50 degrees I'd guess
Where the boarder went down .... doesn't really look that high consequence or "no fall" due to the lack of serious protruding rocks. a fall is likely just going to send you down the snow slide (or into deep snow)
Unless you fall at the very end, you are almost certainly going to hit a lot of rocks on the way down
Where is Corah's Coulier in relation to the main mountain?
Out the top gate, to your right as you begin to hike up Cody Peak
@@teton_brownGot it - Thanks.
teen brown , mcalpine. is this shit real?
Nothing is real. You're living in a simulation
All that for a 20-second run??? TF?!?!?!? There are better cliff chutes at Vail bwahahahahaha
Seriously, tho. Got a "follow" from me!
Niko Shirmer bombs way bigger and badder lines than that
He's also a reckless clown and a climate change crazy.
Haha ok
Useless video. Took eleven different ways to NOT show us what we clicked into.
I hate over-edited videos
So angry
MEH!
Good input!
I don't see the big deal
Perhaps you don't ski?
@@teton_brown lol! incredible video.
