I'm not sure if you know or not, but you can go into special sheathe after a helmbreaker. I usually do it to get my attacks in faster, but it could be used defensively as well
What’s ur opinion on the new lai slash? It seems like u still use foresight most of the time. I guess lai slash will only be used as a follow up move after helm breaker because the timing is so tight. Ur ls skill makes me so jealous. Nice job
Raktim Ray You don’t want to time it exactly like foresight slash because FS slash is a lot more forgiving. You have to press triangle or R2 basically right when youre supposed to get hit by the attack. It’s been easier for me to time it with the Iai spirit slash. I like to use special sheathe after roundslash, after a foresight slash that I can’t connect the follow up roundslash with, or after helmbreaker. I might start using the regular iai slash for gauge now that foresight slash only gives you invincibility if you have at least some of the gauge filled to help give me some cushion.
Raktim Ray normal slash does give hyper armor, you just have to time it well. I’ve done it. In training room, press triangle when you actually see the barrel explosion and you’ll armor through and do both slashes

With all due respect, monster hunter is getting wayyyyyyy too easy now with all hunter buff (foresight slash/ lai slash/ spirit helm breaker/ cheating palico revivals), and monster debuff (tiring status, slower animation, half the hitbox sizes). This tigrex fight is heck a lot easier than the khezu fight back in freedom unite.

@@jaydubyapush Thanks but normal Iai slash doesn't give hyper aror as far as I tested, noly spriit Iai gives hyper armor

LonG Zi iirc light weapons drop slinger ammos while heavy weapons reduce defense.. so LS clutch claw wont really help
The claws have a lot more value in multiplayer than solo hunts imo
