In 1986 Bo Jackson ran a 4.13 in his combine..BUT, The official electronic timer was semi-new technology and was wonky at best. Sometimes it wouldn't stop or wouldn't stop on time.. so there were multiple coaches standing at the finish line with stop-watches; and here's their times: 3.99, 3.98, 4.0. That man was NOT human!
D lineman running 4.3 is completely unnecessary. You need a quick first step to beat the lineman but that level of top speed is not needed. A lot of the best players in the NFL aren't burners and have lower 40 times.
@@skillethead15 I understand - quickness, strength, and agility are by far the best core attributes - but with more and more running style QBs, having a DL than can walk a QB before he can turn the corner and get up field might be a difference maker on a few key plays. It's the NFL. So much parity - who knows what the little difference makers might turn out to be...
The fastest 40 yard dash ever is by su bingtian. At 3.94 secs! The Chinese sprinter completed 60m in 6.29 secs. That equates to 4.07 in the 40 yard dash with a reaction time. If you minus his reaction. That’s a 3.94 second 40 yard dash!
They did leave out a lot of people actually like CJ2k, Pitts, Davis I think would all be on there and maybe a few more dudes. Yeah speed obviously isnt everything on an NFL field and it isnt what makes players great, it is an addition and bonus if you have to being a great player but if you are bad in a lot of other physical talent areas or just dont understand the game at a high enough level that speed isnt gonna help you be good at all. What I thought was pretty funny with this is the position that had the most good players was the offensive lineman, although when you think about it that is a very very athletic ability driven position and dudes that can run fast at that weight are probably good enough laterally and agile enough to succeed most of the time
It's 2023 none of these drills truly measures an athlete's football ability. Running in a str8 line for 40 yards, bench pressing 225, vertical jumping. Need to have iq test, to see who understands the game, catching uncatchable passes, throwing the ball in under 2 seconds, getting to the qb in 2 seconds, being able to juke 3 players behind the ball and measuring who gets the most yards.
The wonderlic was effectively an IQ test. Outside of the O-line it wasn't a great predictor of success and left the NFL vulnerable to claims of brain damage as players had officially recognized documentation of their mental capacity before entering professional football.
@@Tom_yorg Plenty of great players have had awful combine results just as awful players regularly attain fantastics numbers. A single anecdotal example is not exactly evidence of anything.
i think its Funny how offensive line speed has by far the most correlation with them being a well-known player out of any of these, at least according to the video
0:05 running back
0:58 defensive lineman
1:25 defensive backs
1:52 wide receiver
2:22 tight end
3:01 offensive line
3:33 quarterback
Thx bro

That video brought me here
You established that the method used was unreliable and then gave three more times from an even more unreliable method like that means something lol
i believe it seen his highlights
4.36 for a cornerback is outstanding but for a defensive lineman, it’s insane!
Nah Fr though 245 pounds and ran a 40 yard dash in 4.36 seconds is just crazy 💀
Including for Montez sweat to man is 262 pounds and ran that 40 yard dash like it was nothing
Damn. Didn’t know Marcus Mariota had a twin in the NFL
Nick Marshall is actually Marcus Mariota 😂😂😂 whoopie on the NFL
DLinemen running 4.5, 4.4, & 4.3. Better lace 'em up tight on the O fellas.

John Ross looked like he was taking a nice jog. Looked effortless
The D-Lineman times blew my mind. Those dudes were putting up times comparable to DBs SMH 😮
Who’s here after Xavier worthy broke the record
👇
Lmao, says Nick Marshal, but is clearly Mariota Running
And the fastest commentator is Rich Eisen by far 💪 6.02
But RG3 is a commentator 🤔
@@jamespwalter13 well no he’s an analyst
Interesting to see how 4/5 OL have pretty much become superstars
Robert Griffin has Speed like a Reciver 🔥🔥
and piles up injuries like a rb
@@Alex-uq2wbcoach set him up
Lamar quicker
At each “postion” LOL😂😂
So fastest in the past 15 years? Can't have a fast RB discussion without CJ 2K
12 years.
Title says since 2010…. CJ2Ks rookie year was 08’
sad tyreek hill didn’t get invited to the combinr
Did they forget linebackers?
Pacheco 🔥🔥🔥🔥 #ChiefsKingdom
3:52 Nick Marshall is Marcus Mariota lazy mistake
It all means that speed on empty field, dont make you a great football player every time
Yep. This proves it.
This the 2nd time NFL just straight up left CJ2K out the the fastest 40 yard dash in the last week...wtf goin on?
This says since 2010
People can’t read.

@@nukez5292 Didn't see that, idk if the title got edited or not though
Anthony Richardson SECOND FASTEST QB NOW
Since most of these guys I never heard of tells yah speed isn’t everything. Heard of our boy Lane Johnson though. HOFer. EAGLES!!!!
You forgot Marcus Mariota in the qbs
A D lineman ran 4.37?!?! Sheesh!!!!
Where’s Rugggs lll?

Obviously IQ is most important at QB. That’s why all the stud athletes fail miserably. No brains.

Chris Johnson?
You and the 8 people that liked your comment need to learn how to read. I know I’m not insulting you since you can’t read this. 😝
2010
Wow! So good
This does not include 2023 combine
Who's here for the OL?
BIG BOYS MOVIN!!!
Look at these names... this is why you don't draft guys based on 40 times.
You draft Lane Johnson though. 😆
I agree, but there’s exceptions. Dude in KC looks good also. Ran over my Eagles in the bowl. 😭
Also forgot Kyle Pitts and Vernon davis
Since 2010 learn how to read buddy also Kyle Pitts only did pro day
RGlll heart of the bears 🟡🐻🟢
The amount of people that got 4.37
What's the song from 0:01 to 1:47?
i think its Funny how offensive line speed has by far the most correlation with them being a well-known player out of any of these, at least according to the video
What about Linebackers?
Proof that acing the 40 means nothing for actually playing football.
Gotta include Anthony Richardson at second with a 4.44 and fields 3rd with griffin at a 4.45
DL 4.5 is most impressive. That big and fast!
I pray that everyone is having a blessed day and night so far in the Lord Jesus Christ name amen!!!!!!!!!!
Where is Cj2k?
Reid/Veach about to cook up another masterful draft class …. We going Back to Back 🏆🏆
That tight end was so fast I’m surprised 😮
Good players do have speed but not every fast runner is a good player. Concluding from this video
Their legs were moving.
John ross 4:22
Who edits these videos for the NFL? Seems there’s always a mistake (3:52 is Marcus Mariota not Nick Marshall) 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Since they put out this video every year even if no one new breaks in the top 5 you think they just delete the old one and upload it again😂
If you think about it, AR15, malik cunningham and a few others all set records.
What’s with the CJ2k disrespect
Most of these guys either don't play or they didn't make an impact in the NFL. Just fast. So are 40 times really that important?
*Did CJ2K do something?*
woolen, goodwin, fant, irvin and not to mention walker just outside of top 5 rb with a 4.38 ! 2022 seahawks might've been the fastest team ever
3:52 Nick Marshall looks a lot like Marcus Mariota....
Okay lane JOHNSON!!!
1:46 2:16
Chris Johnson was in ‘08, ppl need to read the title
A d lineman running 4.36 is crazy
The amount of people saying cj2k is insane. Do people even read titles anymore?
Forgot Chris Johnson?!?!?
Since 2010 bruh he did it in 2008...
Learn to read.
CJ2K? 😐
Is that Mariota as Nick Marshall?
No tyreek hill?
Gotta update DL now 🤣
Now imagine a brock lesnar at 285 pounds running a 4.7
Clearly somebody is imagining it considering it never happened
Matt Jones from Arkansas ran a 4.3 as a QB where was he?
Vernon Davis ran a 4.38
That was before 2010
Do you guys ever think someone will be able to run under a 4
John Ross is super fast
Where is Tyreke Hill?
He didn’t participate (domestic violence issues)
Wheres Chris Johnson
NFL tryna scan me now
Archer looked like he was joggin smh lol
AND THE CONSENSUS IS THAT SPEED HAS YET TO TRANSLATE TO THE NFL
Linemen doing 4.3-4.4 40s is INSANE...those are NOT little dudes. lol
Have you noticed not a ton of all-pros on this vid? That's because the game is called football, not track and field.
great music
Do you happen to know the name of the first song?
Didnt know dl’s could be that fast bro
A shame he didn’t put SAUCE GARNER😡😡😡😢😢
Montez sweat is insane
How did you mix up Nick Marshall and Marcus mariota? It liberally says mariota on the back of his shirt. 🤦🏾
Didn’t know 98% of these names
They forgot the linebackers
Mariota number 3
Woolen on Seahawks?😮
Cj2k
You dips put Nick Marshall on Marcus Mariota
This just makes you realize being fast doesn't mean good. Unless your a offensive lineman lol
THIS ISNT CORRECT ANYMORE
So basically it’s about who got the fastest 22 steps 😂
it's 18-24 but 22 is a good average...
The disrespect to Mariota :(
Forgot Ruggs in T-3 WR
Why does nobody ever include Tavon Austin’s 4.28?
What time period is this? No CJ2K or Vernon Davis? Also you put Nick Marshal for Marcus Mariota. Did anyone watch this before it was posted?
CJ spiller definitely ran a 4.27
When?
No one is faster than eyeshield 21
Y’all didn’t put Ruggs in the top for the WRs
