Check piston to head clearance. Did you surface the heads?
Sounds similar to guy I heard ended up having to put a spacer shim in between the timing gear and the block. I think it was a new aluminum gear....
Also check fuel pump push rod
Would oil analysis tell you the answer?
That idle is way to high. Could be running rich
Sounds like it needs a valve lash adjustment.

No, the only thing I can figure it is that there is a liter bore out of round.
@@cooperfritzracing I got my engine rebuilt by a local guy. It is also loud. I am taking the engine all apart now and I will take it to a good machine shop this time to mic every bearing piston ect. and go from there. I will keep you updated.
