    Great video, thanks so much for sharing 🙏 Just curious where your daycare kids are when you are cleaning? Busy colouring? Playing with toys? You are amazing at how much you get done!!

    I am still brand new to being a daycare provider.
    How long did it take you gain your footing so to speak?
    I love being a provider but sometimes I feel at a loss on what to do with the kids as far as curriculum and making it fun for them if that makes sense.
    Also, you may have mentioned this and I probably missed it but where do you get your curriculum and activities from.
    Also, what diffuser and essential oils do you use.
    One more, where I am, I have to keep all my kids as seperate as possible, what do you do for outside fun that they can be socially distanced?

      I’ll advise you watch her video on how she puts her curriculum together. Also, watch *Daycare Weekly Lesson Plan* from -Learn To Play. (These will help your activity questions)
      She gets her curriculum binder from amazon but gets the cover from TPT. For activities, I’ll also suggest you watch videos on Circle Time ideas & Fine Motor Activities.
      She mentioned in a previous video that she mixed lemon grass, lemon & peppermint(6Drops Each)
      •Idk what diffuser she uses, but there’s a Sparoom brand off target that lights up just like hers (It’s probably same) -$16
      TIP - Make sure to print worksheets off google.
      I took my time to reply you cos I love her content & I know she’s got to be really busy. Goodluck!

    Your new set up looks good! Its nice and simple. Just a quick thought about the scratch on the cube shelves, you can try cloth bins or baskets. You can also put names on the bins/ baskets so you and the kids know wat goes where at clean up time

    As a preschool teacher I can say that having wooden furniture in the classroom looks really beautiful and makes everything look in unison and not as overwhelming with all the colors. The only problem I've encountered with wooden kitchen sets is the sink can come out and kids like to take it off 😂

    LOVE LOVE LOVE Your videos. I’m a new Daycare provider I’m two-months in now. I’m still trying to get my schedule down so far I have 3 infants from 9 months to 16 months so trying to put together activities can be difficult with them being on different levels of development. The 10 month old is walking and the 16 month old won’t end stand up. Can you do a video on infants and how you kind of plan for them if you have any? Thanks in advance. God Bless!

    • @SAHMmiller

      I create individual infant plans. It works better for me personally

  • @Lovesomeglam
    @Lovesomeglam ปีที่แล้ว +1

    OK so being that you’re doing two letters per month how are you incorporating it doing the activities each day? like for instance, for the fine motor skills are you found only activities that is only for that letter for the whole month?

    For the wooden play kitchen idea, I haven't opened my in-home pre-school yet but I have a scheme for people in the neighbourhood where I can bring over some toys, books & a few other pre-school related things and spend a couple hours with their child in their house. I also have an infant school thing where I invite people in the neighbourhood who are in years R, 1 & 2. Right now, I have 2 girls who come to my home they are: Belle who is 5 in year 1 & Clara who is 4 in year R. In our play-house, we have a wooden kitchen and it is great except that the girls like to use water for the drinks from my hose and sand from my sandpit for the food and the wooden kitchen is not so great now that it is wet & sandy. I can't find the link to the exact one I got because we go it quite a while ago. Looking forward to your next video, Emily.

    How much do you charge per kid? I am wanting to do an in-home daycare. I looked it up for my area most people seem to charge around $175 per week per kid. I would rather charge a bit more since it’s open for sooo many hours a day.

    I love all your vlogs. How do you separate the cost of your home groceries from dayhome groceries?

    • @totstothetop
      @totstothetop  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The thing is, majority of what I buy is used by the daycare in some way , shape , or form. Even seasonings, water, bread, eggs, butter etc. I don't have to separate it much. If there are 1 or 2 things on the list that I know for sure are not going to be used in daycare, I will subtract it from the total and log it as such.

    I am in the beginning stages of starting my home preschool/daycare and would love to see how you organize and implement your curriculum and how you plan it and carry it out with the children. I love watching your videos and am planning to purchase your hand book later on as well if its still for sale.

Just found your video today and I love what you are doing! I am hoping to see one day a video where you are teaching the lesson

    I have been questioning if i wanted a home daycare or not for awhile, and while doing research your videos popped up, and i love watching this channel and has inspired me to open one after getting the classes in :). i do have a question and if you don't feel comfortable talking about finances i understand but when it comes around tax time do you normally have to pay taxes back since when you get paid taxes aren't being taken out? and if so, how do you normally plan for that?

    I love my new wood kitchen! Having said that I think there are different qualities of wood. I have had mine a year and it looks brand new. Mine are meant for classroom use in commercial daycare and school classrooms so they are built for holding up in larger group settings. I paid around $250 per pieceSo for example my sink and cabinet was $250. My refrigerator was $250, my stove was $250. The great thing about that is you could buy one piece at a time. They also have so much storage for food and they can play more realistic with them then other models. I absolutely love them! Best investment ever! If you’re interested send me a quick message and I will gladly send you some photos. Great Vlog Ashley!

      Where did you purchase them ? I have seen your kitchen , and I love it !! I just have a smaller space, so I don't know how well it would fit . But I rather choose quality because I know they will last me for YEARS to come.
