      I find these guys get better interviews out of b-list actors, because they're usually less guarded. There's nothing worse than watching a big A-list star in an interview, because they're the most boring, up-their-own-ass people on the planet. Except Tom Hanks, that guy's hilarious.

    Elvis was the most important artist in music history. He is also the best selling solo artist, selling over 1.5 billion. I bet Michael Jackson fans didn't know that.

    • @elvicare35
      @elvicare35 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, and to all of you Micheal Jackson fans, Micheal loved and greatly admired Elvis, I mean, he liked Elvis so much, he ended up being great friends with Lisa Marie and briefly married to her, Elvis influenced the biggest and the next ....bestest(?)!!!!!!!!!!

    • @Cta2006
      @Cta2006 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I love Elvis too, but there is no hard evidence that he has actually sold 1,5 billion records. His official sales is around 600 million.

    Billy Gardell is As Advertised! My dad and I watched his Half time special together for years, repeatedly, and still quote it almost everytime we see each other. I was lucky enough to meet him after a show in Dover DE and he was the nicest guy on the planet. I would love to have a beer with him and just sit and listen to him talk about anything because he is so talented while still staying a
    so down to earth.

      The show wasn’t cancelled; Melissa McCarthy got too big for her britches, and didn’t want to stay on the show, when her contract was up. Everybody wanted her to continue but couldn’t talk her into it. Too bad......it was a funny show which could have gone on for a while with some great storylines.

      @@lel2012 - How can you "stole" music? Good lord. Please learn how to speak correctly. And if you don't think music can be stolen, you seriously need to educate yourself on copyright law and infringement. Just because you don't understand something, that doesn't mean it isn't real.

    • @lel2012
      @lel2012 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Kindred04 Well here is fhing sir. Elvis HIMSELF said that his biggest inspiration was Fats Domino. He didn't stole any song because he always gi e credit as much as I know and there is audios and tons of proofs that he always give credit to the people he got inspired of. Music Genre can't be stolen that's what i mean , i don't care for copy rights or other stuff...If someone is inspired by Mozzart or Bethoven(orhowerev his name is correctly writen) and the guy is black should we call him "he stole the music" , just because Elvis got inspired by Black folks that doesn't make him theif or that he stole from them. There's is huge diference between stealing and being inspired.

    Colbert is a terrible interviewer and personality. His guest easily are more interesting and make him inconsequential. Also, Gardell was 100% completely wrong about the Elvis' manager knowing what to do with/Elvis when it came to music. That's the main area he lacked any knowledge on.
