    I think he meant the same like Timo Boll once confessed in an interview: I alway count in my head during training, there is always a match going on when playing with somebody. One can also make competitions like: I have to do 10 serves in a row, that roll back to the net... I have to topspin 10 underspin balls in multi ball...

    So how does one achieve "tension" in training? Not sure if something was lost in translation. The overall concept makes sense but how to apply it?

      I think it is to train as seriously as if it were a competition match.

    Tense & stability usually accumulates on tournaments but not on the trainings

      I zhink he said that when you train you need to have goals, and to get serious and have some stress while training.. or when you play against lower players to play like you are on competion
