Hi I play in Drop B and detune with Whammy Detuner. Other than that this guitar is impossible to play in Drop G#.

Yeah maybe for modern Metal 7 String is better . You will be able to play most of the stuff nowadays. I have a 7 string as well but the band is playing this on a 6 string so I had to do it, too haha
