Getting REAL with EB | Real Life, Real Hope, Real Conversations Part 4 - Mothers of EB continued

In this episode we continue talking to Nirvana and Ciska, we talk about experiences around family and public beliefs when it came to culture and religion. We talk about the strength of moms and the resilience that is so evident in kids with EB. We talk about public perceptions and how important awareness and education is in normalising differences. We discuss the sensitive topic of considerations around having more kids when there is already a child with special needs in the family. We also go through our own spiritual journeys and faith building moments for us that were up pivotal in impacting on the way we made decisions.
Standing in faith played a huge role in my upbringing and we talk about some of those times when it seemed like the odds were stacked against us, but we continued to speak faith over those situations.
We end off with some inspirational advice from these two moms for other moms and caregivers navigating life with a special needs child.
