Ohh same here, when I got my Canadian citizen ship I thought I'm still a Filipino citizen. One time I went to philippine consulate to apply for power of attorney, it break my heart when they told to me that I'm no longer a Filipino citizen because I abandoned my passport. So I have to do the oath to keep my Filipino citizen ship. At least you have the right to vote and keep what ever your properties in the Philippines? Still proud to be pinoy..

Congratulations Erica, advice to the wise, do not get Filipino passport, the paper stating that you are a dual citizen is enough, just use your Korean passport when you go home to PI, at the moment you are not staying for good in PI right, when you go on your holidays to PI automatically the immigration officer will stamp your Korean passport as Balikbayan an with that you can even to stay for one year. Have a nice holiday in PI this coming August.Kudos
