    Just recharged my 2012 Chevy Sonic with AC Pro. With the rest I’m gonna try to recharge my 2015 Itasca Sunstar. I turned on the AC and it came out warm.

    While there is still pressure in the system, check both the low pressure and the high pressure valves for leaks. You can use diluted dish soap and check for bubbles. Also check your ac evaporator if it is wet in any area on it. Those are the main culprits. Good luck.

      Thanks. So far pressure is holding. I'm gonna break out my manifold guages tomorrow after work and do a through check.

      Also, many leaks that go down to zero can introduce moisture into the system. Very bad.
      Use a sniffer and to check the leak source. Compressor front seal, fill valves, evaporator and condenser in that order.
      Then if you haven't found it, check fitting connections.

    How cold does dash ac get?

    Very helpful video. I cancelled my appt with the auto shop to recharge my AC after this. It worked out very well. I did have pressure around 32psi. to start. But I kept adding more to around 37psi. then I read not to fill to the max green zone for fear of overcharging so stopped. But I am getting only 54 degrees and it seems I should get more like 50. I wonder if I am expecting too much from this old Itasca sunova 2006 winnebago or should I do it again and bring up to say 40psi. Any thoughts? thanks for this video. Just what I needed.

      Mine was so low I fully charged it. It is up to you if you want to add some more. 54 degrees would be cool enough for me along with our house ac running. I found a slow leak in my line, so I now have to try and add a leak repair and redo the line charge. Thanks for watching!

      When it comes down to it charge it to the manufacturers specified PSI and cross reference the Ambient temp/PSI chart on the can.
      Most AC systems regardless of where or what they're installed in typically only cool efficiently about 20°F cooler than outside temps.
      If youre hitting 54° and its far hotter than 74° id say its working as intended and dont risk overcharging the system, its just hot man stay hydrated.

    We have a new Winnebago Vista 31B and we have been having trouble getting cold air coming out of our front dash vents. I'm having a hard time understanding how to know if there's a problem or not. I am of the opinion that we should be getting cold air coming out of the front vents, and that the temperature of that air should pretty quickly be in the 40-50 degree range coming out of the front vents. Yet when I tried it yesteday, it was measuring in the 70s and 80s. The dealership is saying the dash A/C will only cool the air about 20 degrees less than the inlet air, and that we need to cool our motorhome down first with the house air conditioners. Then after we do that, they are saying the dash A/C should blow air around 60 degrees and keep the front of our unit cool. Any thoughts or suggestions? We live in Arizona so this is a significant issue that we are trying to understand and resolve.

      We had no cold air coming out. I bought the recharge unit and it has the gauge on it. When I attached it it was in the red saying no pressure in the system. It took the whole can. Once I did this the ac started blowing cold again, but not ice cold. The front ac vents will not cool the coach. We also run our front AC unit when driving. The only other way to find out the pressure in the system is to use the ac manifold gauges that ac repair people use. I suspect I have a leak in my system that is slow. I may also use a leak stop solution and then refill the system again. I also plan on installing fans up by the drivers area to help circulate more air. Hope this helps.

      @@mizzmoze1103 See where in the video he plugs the AC Pro recharge bottle hose into ? There are 2 of those " low pressure and the high pressure " Put a little soap and water around those to see if it bubbles up. It`s like if you had a leaky valve on your bicycle tire, you would put soapy water on the vale and it would bubble if it was leaking..

    Is it not neesasary to vacuum the system first ?

    • @100GTAGUY
      @100GTAGUY หลายเดือนก่อน

      For a recharge not really, for a full service to remove all old refrigerant a vacuum capture system is definitely necessary for both the process and ecological conservation.
