- It may be hard to believe now with all the success the Tincaps have had downtown, but the building of a new stadium was a very polarizing topic. Many in the city couldn't understand why we'd build a new stadium when we had Memorial Stadium next to the Coliseum. What Mayor Tom Henry and other leaders knew was this was step 1 in a decades long plan to transform downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana from a decaying afterthought to a vibrant economic hub that would be a shining example of economic development. Join us for a quick tour of the stadium as we revisit some of the team's storied history. Enjoy!
