@@SchoobieDoo These Civics last longer than the coronavirus lol if you keep up with it, I've heard of them going up to 300K miles and more. And BTW... I'm very punctual 👍
2002 was the only model year that this Civic had those gauges. 2003 is when they refreshed it and 2001 is when it was the same as the 6th gen Accord coupes.
I wish I had this car, but I have an 02 Grand Am. I am not complaining by any mines its a nice car also, but I love how compact and reliable the Civics are.
Its amazing how basic cars used to be. Now most brands load cars with content in order to compete with other brands. Its about time! It is weird how cars used to always have a soft touch dash but now car companies have made us think that is a premium feature.
Beautiful car man took good care of it wish I have one I have a ford and it's giving me problems I love it but just let's me down Honda are always last that's why I'm saving for a 2001 or 2002 Honda civic
I used to have a Civic in this exact color. Got rid of the car 4 years ago. Today, I have a 2019 Civic as a hatchback. A far distance between the two since the hatchback is turbocharged.
Might get this Civic from this gen as my next car. I also really like the ones from 1996-2000 though. I have a 98 Saturn SL2 for now, and for the most part, it's a great car.
Oh wow! That's a bummer. Maybe I should avoid this gen. And I know the 6th gen tend to be modified a lot. It's a shame. I have also been looking into the 8th generation of the civic also as they are pretty safe with the side curtain airbags standard and were a top safety pick by the iihs in 2006.
Oh darn. I drive an automatic right now. I'm a little reluctant about trying a manual because I have never driven one before. I hear that they are more fun to drive though and better on gas mileage. And would you say it would be better to buy and 8th gen over a 7th gen?
When you explain it like that, they don't seem to hard to manage lol. My curent car is my first and it's an auto matic trans. I've looked at Toyotas a little also. I like the corollas from 93-97 as well as the ones from 98-02. They seem to be built a little better and more relible than Hondas.
Just found one of these with 155k miles for 3 grand hopefully I can talk the guy down a bit and get the vehicle solid cars Honda and Chevrolet for life
I know!! And the compacts have gotten so bloated feeling. Like, the Mazda 3 is supposed to be this performance oriented compact, and I MUCH prefer driving this Civic. It just feels more connected, lighter, more tossable, and the steering is heavier. There's just a more raw feeling to it.
I have a question for anyone or this video publisher if he sees this, the small circle light between the blinker and the main head light at the front, are those daytime driving lights because I have a this same car but a 2 door and we’ve had it for about 5 6 years and those lights don’t turn on because they might be dead but was just wondering if they do turn on because we didn’t even know about those lights until today when my head light went out I just saw it.
Do you sell cars? I ask because you would be good at it...Nice tour of the car. I got a 2005 Ford Freestar recently and this reminded me of myself giving it the once over...
Got the same one as my first car but it’s brown it’s a good car and this is my first car it’s in great condition only thing my dad had to put a mew stereo in for me
Krystal Bakr Well, you could remedy that one of two ways. You could purchase a small kit on Amazon that replaces the radio and the compartment below it so that you can install the typical radios that most people are used to. Or (if you're using a Apple device) you could purchase a radio transmitter that allows you to broadcast your music to your radio using an unused radio frequency. I'm a Honda Guy. Even thou its 2002 these cars never gets old. Thank you Honda for making an amazing car.
Junior Delacruz I hope it’s good ! Getting one for my first car
This car was quite ahead for it's time. I have a 2002 Honda Civic as well and it feels like not as old as most cars from the era.
Wow, 7 years ago a 2002 civic had less than 30k miles, impressive.
Getting this car as my first car gonna go to the dealership wendsday

i love this thing
These engines always have that slight lifter knock. It's normal for these. Still reliable.

About to be my first car at 16
I want a car just like this!
Just found one of these with 155k miles for 3 grand hopefully I can talk the guy down a bit and get the vehicle solid cars Honda and Chevrolet for life
Bought one of these at 145k miles for $1,600!
Should I pull the trigger. Someone is selling one for 1,300 and can go lower it has 135,604 miles
@@leolopez3985 for sure for $1300 that’s worth it but have someone check it out first then if they say it’s good offer them around $1150-$1200
Fuck. You guys got a freaking deal. Overpaid for mine with 116K for $4K. 😩
I want one for my first car love them so reliable bit pricey if they go wrong apparently also good in crash tests
Becky Tuffin they shouldn't be to much to fix if anything goes bad. Just like grand ams these things are every where so part prices should be low
I'm still working on mine ;(
is a good tour of your thank you i thing about buy a honda civic and you video is very informative
Does this 2002 Honda Civic Ex have a 3.5mm aux port that can be plugged into your phone so you can play your own music ?
Imagine having a stock Honda radio.
I do

whats the mpg for this car? is it reliable for college students?
mammaramir anywhere from 28-42 mpg
You should average around the mid-30s with either transmission you get on any trim you get.
I would say so
How old is the d series engine
i just bought one today for 1000. 127k miles. Just needs a windshield.
does this have an aux input?
My dad had one and it did, but depends on what radio is already installed in the car
I owned a 5th gen it was a good car
