This video offers us a rare insight into Elisey's delightful moments while he is not in a performance. His side glances and smiles while helping Alexandra rehearse the Italian Polka are precious, as is his stage-side conducting. He is genuinely enjoying himself, and completely within his element and comfort zone. Elisey understands music, and his amazing performances in the four years since this (with help from TH-cam) have propelled him into a globally recognized Maestro. He has over a quarter million subscribers on TH-cam and comments on his videos from every inhabited continent across the globe. May the Good Lord watch over him and all the children of the world; they are the future of humanity. Ну и, разумеется, не только "продвигает", но и делится своим мастерством. Многие из них уже практически взрослые музыканты (А.Малофеев, И.Бессонов, да и Саша Довгань тоже), а другие очень быстро ими станут. И эти ребята и есть наше реальное национальное достояние. Большое спасибо Денису за них. Ну и, конечно же, их педагогам, которые увидели их талант

I just figured out what went wrong with my piano tuition as a kid. My teacher hardly ever smiled. No teasing, laughing, playing 4 hands and having fun... I can‘t remember that she EVER asked me what I liked or WANTED to play. Quite the contrary, I had to hide music scores of pieces I loved. (Für Elise, Moonlight Sonata, Joplin‘s „Entertainer“, etc ...) I secretely practiced these pieced. One time she found the sheets and was aghast. „What are you doing?? This is too hard for you!! You have to practice this and that first!!“ Instead, she kept telling me what her daughters were playing already at my age. No encouragement whatsoever 😡
I watched videos with Alexandra and Mira Marchenko, it’s more like a partnership, they talk a lot. Denis Matsuev too is so nice with the kids, I
love to see them giggling and laughing.
Mathilde Wesendonck she/he probably wanted to build up your reading skills first. I have students that want to do the songs you listed in the first month of learning. They couldn’t even do a simple nursery rhyme without struggling. Just giving a teacher’s perspective.
AnnaKurusis you are probably very right, and I can understand it 😉 But I had already been playing for several years, it wasn‘t really a technical issue. Just a very authoritarian teacher that wasn‘t good at motivating teenagers. 😕 She totally spoiled the instrument for me. I actually quit and took up clarinet, and that went much better

So glad this was on my recommended, it's given me motivation to carry on teaching myself the piano. Even thought it's a bit disheartening to know she's only 11 and plays better than anyone I know.
Still, it's all about practising right? They seem very dedicated to rehearsing which shows they are very disciplined and intelligent young folk.
Chicken Nuggets of course they practice like crazy... but still, there is more about it. They feel the music. Elysei first performed publicly when he was only two or three, not only playing notes, but putting in his little soul and creating such a broad range of colours in his play. He couldn‘t read or write at that time, just played by ear memory, and that’s crazy. Alexandra is similar. They are more both miraculous!! 👏👏👏👏👏
