Pink LEDs: actually for an amber/orange insert a pink LED really does make the amber/orange pop, much more so than white or amber LED. I had the same reaction when I first got a pin with a few pink LEDs, but it actually works well.

I was thinking that maybe it just worked and looked better... got to make a mental note on that one...

These were yellow inserts but I could see them giving some softer lighting orange or amber inserts.
Amber or yellow LEDs themselves have always seemed worthless to me. Warm usually works better on that. Sometimes cool in the yellow works well too depending on theme and color schemes.

The Yellow LEDs are really weak and junk. I typically use a warm white to help deepen the color on yellow inserts as they seem to be washed out on many Bally Williams games. The Pink LEDs seem to be a thing now for the yellow inserts. It does seem to help add some depth to the yellow without being drastic. Ive tried it on an Addams family. seems to work ok.

Yeah. You cannot go wrong with warm and cools. Anything else is more technical than needed when going from incandescent.

Can you please tell me what grid sandpaper you use for your decalls to remove the sides/leftovers?

Yes I usually start at with 120 as it will cut easiest.

Do you have a link to the paint markers that you recommend? Great videos!

I use sharpie oil based paint pens with a chisel tip.

Hey, this customer is paying you good money for a restoration, not a commentary on his bad taste... 😁

@@ryankelly6728 I agree with you... I just noticed Chris has been a bit more candied with what he thinks... and thought if I was paying a bunch of money for a machine to be restored, I wouldn't want to hear that... no mater if its true... now on the other hand if the "other" restorer did those mods, then blast him! Lets have names... LOL

The customer is paying me to evaluate and to do the work. The documentation and opinions are up to me. I get nothing extra out of making videos or documenting my work but many times people don’t see the games they send so it helps with that.

@@highendpins I understand... You are the master... sorry for questioning your craft... 😁 I am sure I speak for all of us pinheads... Thank you for taking the time and energy to make these videos and documenting on pinside a lot of your work. This is probably one of the best pinball p0rn I've ever seen! Cheers!
