People outside of the UK don't truly understand what the Royal Family means to us. Some want to abolish it I am not one of them. Our monarch is also head of our nation
In this representative role the Sovereign acts as a focus for national identity, unity and pride; gives a sense of stability and continuity; officially recognises success and excellence; and supports the ideal of voluntary service. This is why MM could not fit in she had some idea that it was an on going party. Already things have changed that needed to change. You would never see the late Queen show affection this way so it warms my heart and makes King Charles less of a tyrant

It was lovely watching William and Charles in that lighthearted moment. Their smiles and banter was so natural, I couldn't help but smile as well. And William is right in joking that on the day itself, the clasp may not work. Reminds me of previous activities planned in the past where so much prep is made and somehow when the time comes, things have a way of falling apart. In this case however, I am glad that things all went well!!!

The 'sausage fingers' joke is in particular very funny, since shortly after the coronation and the release of the official portrait people started joking about Charles 'sausage fingers'. Now it turns out the original one to make that joke was he himself😂
People were joking about it quite a while before the coronation, though I believe Charles was still the first to mention it over a decade ago.
