I think what Joyner is trying to say is that the quality of the more popular genres (i.e. music that is played on the radio) has declined to the point of no return. It's literally making people dumber. The masses see how lucrative, and how easy it is to become a "rapper" so they try it out. It perpetuates the cycle. Back in the day you had to put time into the craft...even to make club hits. That's not the case anymore, and that's why we are where we're at now.
