One of the best pro wrestlers on the planet, period, full stop. She has that smooth ability that only the truly greats have, she can wrestle anyone, any style and most importantly make anyone look good. As the old time saying goes, she could wrestle a broom and get it and her over.
Absolutely! It's super rare that so many things come together in a wrestler. She had fantastic attitude, timing, athleticism. Could sell great but everything she did also looked like it hurt (but also looked safe), could do humor and be scary. Oedo Tai was a forge of character. Everyone going through that team came out way better. Shame that Stardome is focussing so much on neck destroying moved. Too many of it's performers have to retire before they hit the international stardom they deserve. I have respect for them sacrificing themselves for the promotion that made them but I'm sure our priority as fans is to know the performers are safe. Some of the best and most intense matches happen in Stardom but it takes it's toll.
@@simonisenberg4516 I agree wholeheartedly, we can hope that with Bushi road taking over and some New Japan vets spending time in the Stardom dojo they'll curb the work rate a little. Saving the big punishing moves for big shows or only one a match not several. We can also hope they are being paid better now that they're all signed to Bushi Road as well they should at least be compensated handsomely for sacrificing their bodies for our entertainment.
For those of you wondering how a top athlete at the age of 27 is retiring - the last 2 matches, Hana Kimora and Konami, When Hana slams Kagetsu, you can see that Kagetsu got an impingement; her neck stiffened. By the time she got to Konami, Kagetsu was tapping out. Stone cold had to see a neck specialist and the doctor proposed a procedure that would save his neck but Stone cold wouldn't be able to wrestle again. He got a second opinion and had some therapy done, keeping him in the business, at the cost of being in constant pain. What I'm saying, Kagetsu, the hen mother of Stardom, gave her soul to wrestling. And she didnt even get an action figure out of the deal. She radiates of Dalai Lama rays.

So I’ve decided to rewatch it and see how much I’ve familiarized myself w/ the product. Went from hardly knowing any of the women to actually knowing them and their status w/ Stardom.
The last 3 wrestlers being the core of TCS, my favourite stable, I hope they won’t break this stable this year in the draft. Nonetheless, not to take anything away from Kagetsu, what a performer, an outright legend, and will be sorely missed. Oedo Tai will not be the same without her 🙁
I haven't been able to keep up with anything going on in Stardom outside of Twitter posts because I cant afford the Stardom World app (among others) so I don't know what's lead up to this match. Is it a retirement match or is Kagetsu leaving Stardom for another organization? It was a very entertaining match in any case. Thank you for posting it on TH-cam.
Kagetsu is retiring for good, this was one of her last Stardom matches. She finished up with Stardom last month, but her actual last match will be 2/24/20 against her teacher Meiko Satomura.
I guess that they just feel like it is time to stop, they wanna do other things in life like Hazuki for example, she wanted a "normal life". It is sad but at least they gave us great memories
This wasn't the entire match. If I remember correctly, the entire match was 45 minutes with a lot of time for Kagetsu to talk to the crowd after the ring-action ended. Mayu & Momo are both still prominent performers in Stardom.
