Trying to summarize your preference in that order : 1 - HeadRush for its ease of programming and quality of some of its sounds 2 - AX8 for the quality of its simulation but not as easy to program without the editor using a PC/Mac which may be an issue in Live situation 3 - Helix due to some built quality issues (switches) Thank you Marco !
Short Translation: He prefers AX8 because basically presets are useful and cab sims are good. Weakness is a user interface that is a little tricky. The Headrush is easy to use. Clean and crunch are beautiful and realistic. There is much less stuff than in the other two and hopes the upgrade. From Helix he says it is difficult to get persuasive sounds because of cab sims (I also agree). Some IRs make it easier and hard equalization. Easy to use and quality could be better.
Hey man, wondering if u help me out. The ax8 It sounds great on my Hs5 monitors at home, but when I took it for rehearsal and went direct with xlrs( no DI) it sounded so bad and so thin. Was wondering what’s wrong. Could it be my I/O settings, out main levels or something am doing wrong? Thanks man
