Garbage Truck, Wayne TomCat Crushing Garbage

- Our "mini garbage truck", Hino 155 carrying a Wayne TomCat 6 yd body, crushing garbage. I can usually fit about 1.5 ton, +/- 500 lb, based on what people throw "away" that day.

I can try, but I know at our transfer station, they're pretty strict about you staying close to your truck if you have to get out. It'll be hard

cool compactor very effective . does it have retaining teeth under the rubber strip. or is it just relying on the amount of packer penetration. ? just shows that these can be made to work effectively. very little fallback into hopper. and what there is seems to be from vibration from road bumps, rather than back pressure
No retaining teeth as far as I can see. It does push it really far back in there; wish full size bodies could do that ;) love this little truck for small routes
Good vid, pretty much what people out here like to see, with one exception, that being could you start the vid when the truck is half full? That way you get the explosion effect, bags explode, etc. I know that some of us like the start to finish version, but I kind of think that most of us would like to see it work from the half way point, thanks and be careful climbing into the hopper like that, use the crusher panel. Thanks again!!!
Thanks for the comment! I love seeing the bags explode too, it's cool! On this video, the route isn't big enough to completely fill the truck, and we don't run any other trash route with this truck. However, some of my other videos (and videos to come) have full-sized trucks packing out. Check them out! :)

Is yard waste being put in as well because there isn’t a driver assigned to collect yard waste that day? Or is it that people are putting yard waste in the garbage?
This neighborhood is considered too far away to send a truck for yard waste
What type of truck is this and what transmission?
What happens when it’s a real windy day does trash fly out the hopper there
There are some side doors you can deploy to live of close off the hopper and decrease that :) I had them retracted in order to fit the camera and throw things in easier

1st time in long time seen side loader. In vid or person. Where is this. NYC got rid of theirs found out as far as I know that too slow dangerous if on street side had to remember put up hopper door on dead side or mess in street age of recycling think found out tough to have esp trucks for it opted for split back3body also believe split body held more tons.

About how many houses can you do in a trip with this truck?
Recycling usually 60-75, refuse maybe 70-80. All that is really packing though
Wayne side loader residential is a low compaction unit. Around 500 pounds per yard.
why do people not recycle, is just lazy.
There's no money in recycling anymore for the carting companies
Because we don't want to recycle, it's a waste of time. Just throw everything in the garbage

@@publicservicesinhawaii429 I've done it... I bribed a driver when his truck was empty then got in and waited in the body till it filled up got tightly squeezed in mounds of garbage it was great
Some voice-over commentary will be pretty good too if you could do that that would add character to your videos maybe also start the beginning of your video with a intro commentary

I use a similar truck to this video but the one I use is twice the size of this one I get 12ton of rubbish a day
