Ex: Gym, Surfing, Fishing, Riding Motorcycles, bird-watching Lol. The more niche it is the better. The world DOES NOT need another hellstar. Clothing is a universal need. And people have way to many clothes and pay way too much for them. Its a very profitable niche, thats why you see these drops making so much money. Theres the best manufacturers producing these premium hoodies for $20. Many of the brands resell it for 80+. If your CAC is 15-20 you still have $40 profit per product. Now if you launch a collection of 5 products you have an AOV of 100 , it can definitely add up. Invest in branding and story behind your values, people will appreciate your brand.

First of all, great video, mate! Speaking from personal experience (you will relate i think), when starting a clothing brand, it's essential to truly fall in love with fashion and everything that comes with it. It's not about the money; it's about the creative process. Secondly, you need to be tenacious. You'll likely stumble along the way, multple times, and that's completely normal. Insane value in that video, thanks man🙏 I want to start a clothing brand, but I’m really into minimalism, that’s something I really love, but it’s harder to stand out, would you have any advices? I’m a UI/UX/graphic designer, I thought about doing some cool things, not just a logo on a t-shirt ofc, that’s not realistic for a new brand, but still keeping it minimalistic, also had ce this idea of sharing the meaning behind each piece (it’s story) making the perceived value higher Well that’s a lot haha, thanks for reading, can’t wait to have your opinion on that, have a nice day man 🫡
If one does something for money only and not for passion it is going to be the core problem behind the failure. One must do it for satisfaction and satisfaction in business brings excellence and ultimately excellence attracts wealth. Doing anything directly for money is going to fail for sure one must have GRIT and perseverance.
One other thing to consider is that the content matters a lot running a brand in the West is far more challenging compared to Eastern countries the only thing you must do proper research and have A BRAND STORY.
It will work if you keep bringing something new to the game. Im not saying you have to create something that has never been done before. Being Able to create bunch of clean design
He’s talking about the people who don’t have design capabilities and can only produce the same shirts and jackets the department store makes but with their own logo. lol. Fashion brands still make money, why is that? 😛
Yeah you're right. I dont think real designers are the target for the video. I see a lot of uninspired trash being pushed which reduces the bar of entry which in turn pushes saturation and makes it harder to stand out. What do you think about starting with something else like jewelry and then switching over to fashion? Once you have the means to order larger quantities and do quality marketing.
I’m one of the 1% of people who watched the whole thing. i’ve bought vinyl cutters heat presses and all the things i need for a clothing brand i have it all set up but idk if i should continue after hearing this. i enjoy making my clothes and designs and want them to do well and i want someone else to like them too so i think i just need to keep going for the long run but idk this video has given me mixed feelings about whether it’s worth pursuing or not.
defiantly continue, I started a year ago with a heat press and cricut, built my brand from that, I’m now out 13.5k follows on ig and my brand is runnin smooth, there’s ups n downs but if you just stay consistent and dedicated you’ll run it up

Like old money fashion! Will states be the same? Cause I see in the old money fashion fashion is kinda stable. It doesn’t require changes in years or follow a trend! Still curious to know about, cause I was thinking building a clothing brand (in old money niche). Looking for your answer.
@4:10 you said people do 40k on their first drop and then the sales just go down. But guess what? we did less than 2k on our first drop so it only means one thing 😎🤙

I have a business model that no one in this space is doing, I also have that leverage you were talking about, my situation is a serious anomaly. I am also an artist and designer first which helps. I won't go into my model but I am looking to learn about the marketing aspect. do you do consultations?
do you think you can go to viral? or you can find that sweet spot where your sales are alot more consistent but may not be to high or to low.so you don’t get that effect cause to many people have it.and how do you find manufacturers
I’m an engineer right now working as a manufacturing engineer and also a creative working on my clothing brand? Does it sound like I can do it all myself?
In my eyes if wealth is the number one priority for something like a clothing brand, its extremely unlikely you'll succeed. This is a business based on art, True artists don't see what they do as a job, but as a blessing in and of itself. I haven't seen much money, but I'm in love with this process. I love building the foundation of the brand, the meaning of it, the reason for it. What it can do for others and how I can use it to give back to my community. I'm not stressing about the money right now because I know I'm building something of value, I'm in love with doing it. And I know my quality and designs have value and substance behind it.
@@DaveNash what does that have to do with it being over complicated or not? It's literally what is expected of making clothes. If you think starting any brand is about just doing one thing without doing all the other logistics then you're just a idiot who didn't research. Anyway I think at the end of the day, its really abt proper intention and purpose. I really appreciate giving us a heads up in this vid.
Don’t listen to this guy, he said a $2,000 photo shoot 🤦🏽♂️ this where I unsubscribe 😂
agency model full day is already $1k+, not to mention photographer hair/makeup studio etc. are you okay bro?
DO listen to this guy. $2000 is even on the Cheapside if you want to do it properly and ethically.
@@tengoodquestions Nah bro, I gained 26k followers in a month with my brand. I spent no money towards ads, models, photos, ect. I did everything off my phone and with myself. You don't gotta do all that fancy stuff and pay high amounts of money.
He starts calling for 40 minutes btw both the 20mins is the real stuff
Insane value in that video, thanks man🙏
I want to start a clothing brand, but I’m really into minimalism, that’s something I really love, but it’s harder to stand out, would you have any advices?
I’m a UI/UX/graphic designer, I thought about doing some cool things, not just a logo on a t-shirt ofc, that’s not realistic for a new brand, but still keeping it minimalistic, also had ce this idea of sharing the meaning behind each piece (it’s story) making the perceived value higher
Well that’s a lot haha, thanks for reading, can’t wait to have your opinion on that, have a nice day man 🫡
this is youtubes hidden gem
appreciate you bro big words
love your videos man you helped me a lot
thank you for the comment glad they helped!
real gems in this video bro, thank you!
My pleasure my friend, thanks for tuning in
a true eye-opener, thanks for the insight.
appreciate the comment bro 🙏🙏
If one does something for money only and not for passion it is going to be the core problem behind the failure. One must do it for satisfaction and satisfaction in business brings excellence and ultimately excellence attracts wealth. Doing anything directly for money is going to fail for sure one must have GRIT and perseverance.
One other thing to consider is that the content matters a lot running a brand in the West is far more challenging compared to Eastern countries the only thing you must do proper research and have A BRAND STORY.
plzzzz shoot info on your tax accountant I would love that!
email me dave@davenash.co i can intro!
I genuinely fuck with this kinda content
@@brandopolo2 appreciate u brooo
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HONESTY! 🙏🧠💎
You are welcome my friend. thanks for watching!!
It will work if you keep bringing something new to the game. Im not saying you have to create something that has never been done before. Being Able to create bunch of clean design
Definitely. New perspective and good art always wins
when ppl say im bout to start a clothing brand I just smile and say yeah bro go for it 🤣😂😂😂
hahahahahah
He’s talking about the people who don’t have design capabilities and can only produce the same shirts and jackets the department store makes but with their own logo. lol.
Fashion brands still make money, why is that? 😛
Yeah you're right. I dont think real designers are the target for the video. I see a lot of uninspired trash being pushed which reduces the bar of entry which in turn pushes saturation and makes it harder to stand out. If you are creative or open to work with creatives, that's how you grow and make success
love the authenticity brother!
goated yogi teas in the bg
I’m an one man army homie! Lolol Super exhausting tho , but definitely with passion and givin’ it all with my heart I pray success! Btw great video bro! ❤️🔥
thank you! wishing you good luck!

So i’m good at designing and not just graphic designing i’m talking product designing as well. Should I start a clothing brand? Or what’s a better business to apply my skills to?
its all about a team im in retail small brand its about networking.
What do you think about starting with something else like jewelry and then switching over to fashion?
Once you have the means to order larger quantities and do quality marketing.
I’m one of the 1% of people who watched the whole thing. i’ve bought vinyl cutters heat presses and all the things i need for a clothing brand i have it all set up but idk if i should continue after hearing this. i enjoy making my clothes and designs and want them to do well and i want someone else to like them too so i think i just need to keep going for the long run but idk this video has given me mixed feelings about whether it’s worth pursuing or not.
defiantly continue, I started a year ago with a heat press and cricut, built my brand from that, I’m now out 13.5k follows on ig and my brand is runnin smooth, there’s ups n downs but if you just stay consistent and dedicated you’ll run it up
In another video you said clothing is the easiest 😂
hahahahahahaha ikr. its hard operationally but easiest marketing
@@DaveNash thanks for the clarification I need money to restart my construction business so I’ve been thinking of clothing as I’ve had success in dropshipping and construction any advice
@@DaveNash I think my biggest problem would be finding good designers really
Bro said “like rip Virgil but cmon now”😂😂 luv the game tho fr
ahahah, appreciate u bro thanks for watching
Bro thanks for helping me realize how stupid i was i did it for money before now i got my best friend whose dream is to have a brand and now we are starting soon 🎉🎉
good luck! it's always dank to build something with your bsf. lets get it
saying gucci and loui aren't relevant is absolutely insane bruh. just cause you think it's "over saturated" doesn't mean everyone else in the world doesn't want it.
What about a print on demand clothing business for a side hustle , what yall think ?
its probably decent if you want to make a few hundred per month
Like old money fashion! Will states be the same? Cause I see in the old money fashion fashion is kinda stable. It doesn’t require changes in years or follow a trend! Still curious to know about, cause I was thinking building a clothing brand (in old money niche). Looking for your answer.
@4:10 you said people do 40k on their first drop and then the sales just go down.
But guess what? we did less than 2k on our first drop so it only means one thing 😎🤙
ONLY UP FROM HERE BOSS
Don’t believe this guy, my friend started bitters desires last year he wasn’t even a designer he was a foot ball player. Every drop sell out and get better and better. Guess what it’s just him! Follow your dreams! Don’t believe this guy! 😂
oh wow my first hater mama ive made it

I'm a digital artist and wanna start a clothing brand
Vid made me wanna do it more!
awesome! good luck :) learn materials, fabrics, seams, etc. that will start you off good in making clothing
I have a business model that no one in this space is doing, I also have that leverage you were talking about, my situation is a serious anomaly. I am also an artist and designer first which helps. I won't go into my model but I am looking to learn about the marketing aspect. do you do consultations?
yes. send me an email descrbing what kind of help you'd need -

Why did you start 2? Close one down. Put all your focus into 1.
abercrombie CEOS are in jail rn
do you think you can go to viral? or you can find that sweet spot where your sales are alot more consistent but may not be to high or to low.so you don’t get that effect cause to many people have it.and how do you find manufacturers
you can probably do both. but i dont really know how to do it. thats why i rely on fb ads
If u are in it for the money then it's not for u
facts
Another great video man
appreciate that bro!!
Keep rising dope content 🔥🔥

Can you do a video on how to setup ads? Automatic vs manual targeting?

What is your opinion on luxury streetwear POD?? Including marketing agency’s full time graphics designer? Please need your advice!!!

For your ASC campaign do you put all the categories you are selling in that one campaign or have a separate ASC campaign for each category?
each category = 1 new ASC
@@DaveNash ok got it makes sense so that means you need a test ASC for each one to I am guessing? what about for each country?
new campaign for each country, for each category
@@DaveNash ok got it thank you!
@@DaveNash Lastly do you send them to just website or website and shop?
nice 3mins all i needed lol

I’m an engineer right now working as a manufacturing engineer and also a creative working on my clothing brand? Does it sound like I can do it all myself?
Absolutely. I recommend having a job while starting your brand. This way you can make decisions without being scared of not being able to pay rent!
If there's one thing I know is that artists always win.
bruh it ain't that complex unless you make it complex
are you doing $100k/mo for several years straight? hmmm
@@DaveNash what does that have to do with it being over complicated or not? It's literally what is expected of making clothes. If you think starting any brand is about just doing one thing without doing all the other logistics then you're just a idiot who didn't research. Again as long as you know what needs done, it's really not that complicated. It applies for youtube, streaming, sports, anything that involves being your own boss.
@@lwkyd3v402 hahaha dude this is a dumb ahhhhh comment
Im a barber. About 10k saved. Willing to invest 2000 just trying to put my passion in another area and see some profits overtime. Is this a bad idea?
@@Blurfectionn You can do it if you truly think you can develop a good product. dont release bad stuff.
@@DaveNashappreciate the response. I agree, and that’s the worst part that I’m noticing. Beside all the hardships clothing brands already come with, like finding a manufacture, setting up a website, etc. Is how do i put my idea and this image i have in my head on a fkn piece of clothing and make it look GOOD. I definitely understand why you said not to make one 😂
Thanks king!
no problem
Heyy guys I need help , can anyone explain me how dropping limited peices works? Like if I'm dropping 100 t shirts what about the sizes ? Should I make 100 of each size (that doesn't seem right though) or 100/all size and how to decide the quantity of each size ?
PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS
just get 100 shirts, S 20 M 35 L 30 XL 15
