These quotes are so true. I've always loved reading and feel really good when I have the time to read. Characters in books are more understanding and they don't judge the people who read about them, they just want their stories to be heard. I think books are like doors to other worlds, all you have to do is open one. I especially love the quote from "Looking for Alaska". That's what I see when I look at my bookshelf, a girl that loves books. Good job on the quotes.
I think the fact that I almost teared up at this video is proof enough that I'm a major book nerd. (Also the 15 library books I have right now are less sappy proof of it)

Books have been my faithful companions. My mind's eye creates holographic worlds much deeper and richer than any device ever could. I absorb some of the author's essence because I am empathic. I buy books compulsively and when I am surrounded by books I feel giddy and very wealthy. Books gave me a bright future when childhood reality was grim. By 5th grade I had read nearly every book in my town library. Even the adult ones although I did not understand the mature content. Bookworm here.
