It was very private! We may have gotten lucky with that. I guess it depends if there’s any obnoxious noisy guests staying but for us i did not notice anyone watching.

I am looking at the Mint one ($2700usd) Do you recommend that? Also did you use the videographer from the resort as well? Sooooo many choices! lol
Hello! I was the maid of honor but the bride invited 70 and only had around 20 come. It was the thick of covid October 2020. She did the strawberry package. I believe the difference between that and the mint is that the strawberry includes a ceremony and beach reception with dinner and open bar for up to 30 guests and the mint is just the ceremony for 30 guests. She did not use the videographer but I imagine they were great because we loved the photographers! It is a lot of choices. Have fun and Congrats!

I am planning to have a destination wedding at this location as was wondering if you could answer a few questions that I have. Which section of the resort do you think it the best to have the ceremony/reception at? Or is there only one dedicated section to have weddings at? I understood that in staying at the Palace section you don't have access to the AO section, but does that also include not being able to access the bar (as seen in this after party)? What was the night life between each section? Last but not least, do you have a link/brochure from the resort that breaks down extra costs (DJ, Photography, etc)? Hope to hear from you soon!! :)
The wedding that I was in was in the Beach section. There’s multiple areas and they are all great. I have seen people get married at the gazebo area at the palace and that is off the beach but not on the beach which has its positives and negatives. I did feel like people could watch from they lobby and it didn’t feel as intimate but it was beautiful and fancy. We had the indoor reception which was right off the beach and gorgeous. There’s also weddings in the captain Morgan bar which i feel like isn’t as fancy as far as set up for a wedding but is also really fun and pirate ship themed. So depends what you like. If you are to do a beach reception i think all the areas would be amazing. We saw a few set up and you really can’t go wrong! They did let the palace guests go to the AO section for the after party but that could be because the bride and groom were AO guests. I personally liked the AO night life better. It’s outside in the warm air compared to the palace night life which was mostly inside in the bar off the lobby The AO had a larger open area and very cool set up in my opinion. Strikers is in the caribe section and I’m sure would be fun for the after party as well! I haven’t seen any brochures that list the prices because there’s so many options but i recommend if you haven’t already email maya.weddings8@barcelo.com and let them know what you are wanting as far as how many hours for the dj and type of photo package and they can let you know prices!
