Seems care requirements would not make this a beginner fish! Where do you get clams on the half shell and I have a million tiny snails on my walls but I am talking less then the size of a pea. They never mature and always die off anyway. Would that be sufficient? Do they have to grind teeth on a live clam? I know you can buy empty snails for hermits. Plus where do you find clams on the half shell anyway? I have always wanted a puffer!
I've had my Valentini for over a year now and he's never puffed-up we put a mirror on the side of the tank just see what he would do and he kind of flattened himself out a little bit and asked all big and bad and gets really colorful she's never puffed-up

Can I feed them ramshorns from my freshwater tank?

You’ll be fine.. just make sure there’s plenty of room - open water keep live rock structure low.
Mine is literally picking at every coral in my tank.
