    Hi Calvin,
Great ideas, thanks for sharing. I'm wondering whether that would work for gum printing. What kind of PET film do you use and recommend? What's the glue spray that works for you? After printing, I guess, you leave the paper and the PET film bonded together, right?

Most your questions are answered in my blog thewetprint.com/en/2017/10/09/carbon-transfer-tips-and-tricks-pet-backing/. As far as whether it would work for gum...I'm not gluing the pet film to paper, but rather to a film called yupo used in making tissue. At no point would I ever want to glue anything to a final print. There are other solutions for gum printing.

Thanks for your response. I know that Yupo is a synthetic "paper" and am just wondering whether it can be used for gum printing as it holds a gelatin emulsion well, according to you opinion/experience. Just looking for a substrate that works for gum printing, prevents the paper from shrinking and gives perfect registration.
But still, my questions remain unanswered :)

Yupo should not be used for a final support in any process as it is not archival. I am not a gum printer, but paper can be treated to be much more dimensionally stable. Paper can also be glued to aluminum as Penn did with platinum. For gum printing Tony Gonzales will be a better resource than myself.
