Realizing 30% of the local food is wasted, a rice expert David Chen decided to educate Primary School students through the hardship of rice planting. Anand, an IT professional from India, worry about the impoverished farmers in his hometown. He then imported “Buddha rice” to Singapore, hoping that the income can provide for the farmers’ lives and children’s education. 稻米专家陈建元，意识到本地百分之三十的食物是被浪费的，他毅然走入小学校园，教导学生种稻。学生从栽种到收割，了解米粮得来不易，更领悟了“粒粒皆辛苦”的真谛。科技从业员Anand来自印度，却心系着家乡贫困的农民。于是，他把农民栽种的 “佛陀大米” 引进新加坡售卖，希望改善他们的生活，也为失学的孩童提供教育。
