Thank you for saving the fish. I hope the shark gets better soon. Love you dumpster videos. I remember when you used to have a whole tank of cherry shrimp breeding. You could do that again with the shrimp. 😻😻😻😻💙💙💙💙
The little flat fish is indeed some sort of hillstream loach. I couldn't get a close enough look to know for sure, but it may be a Borneo loach, or a Chinese gold ring loach. There are over 200 species of hillstream loach, and without a good look, you just can't be certain. I couldn't get a good enough look at the head of the last fish to make any sort of a reliable ID. The shrimp will do very well with a sponge filter. They will also do really well if you put some rather porous rock and some wood in with some coarse substrate. They like to eat algae, and rough rock, driftwood, and coarse gravel will give algae plenty of places to attach to. You do not want the tank to get overgrown with algae, but a little will make them very happy. They do have specific food needs, but if you buy foods specifically designed for shrimps they'll do quite well. Personally I prefer Logemann Bros. line of produts, which includes Bacter AE, which is a well respected name in everything shrimp nutrition.
Those Chinese High Fin Banded Sharks can get up to 24 inches in length. The are supposed to be very good cold water fish to keep with Koi and Goldfish.
This is amazing! Ty for caring for these fish! I'm no specialist by any means so correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't it be better to acclimate them to the water before them? And separate them from your other fish just to make sure none of them carries parasites or some illness that might be contagious? Sorry if I'm correcting wrongly, this is just what I've seen abou fish-caring so far. But again, thanks for saving them either way
Rob, the high finned banded shark can get up to 4 feet in length so youll nees to tranfer it to a bigger tank and then into a pond at some point. I have 2 in my 1800 gallon koi pond
I Love it when you save fish from dumpsters! BTW, maggots don't eat healthy flesh. They will only eat dead, decaying, or infected skin. In the past they would use them to clean out wounds, and only the good flesh was left behind. Gross, but it was effective. 😊 Keep saving those poor animals! ❤❤❤
The blue water is NOT medication. It actually is keeping oxygen in the water longer than regular water. I work at a pet store. That's how the fish comes in.
Hi. I understand not,why is the fish in the trash? The shop can it buyed! I come from Germany and here is this not ok. This fish in a thank and for little bit money buyed and now in the trash. Sorry for my english ;)
Love the videos on pet store dumpster diving and saving all the fish that you find. You need a quarantine fish tank or two for the find's you get and a video of setting it up for them would be a great idea for us to watch
I have seen videos of companies that ship fish across the nation that they use some kind of blue tint super oxygenated water before they pack them up for shipping?
With so many people pretending to save animals just for likes, it's hard to tell if this is genuine or if this is another one of those types of videos. If this is actually genuine, then keep up the good work.
It is so crazy and cruel how so many fish and other creatures get dumped in dumpsters like rubbish. As for the Racoon it is just as crazy that they are looking for food in dumpsters and that food could be thrown out fish.
What an insane day at the dumpster! I thought that raccoon was gonna attack me! What was your favorite rescue!?
It's a Chinese hyphen otherwise known as banded shark
I loved you barking at the racoon
@@RobsAquatics yeah ,keep making good content

I think often big fish suppliers send their fish in water with the meds in the water they are shipped in.

Nice find in the dumpster, stay safe all thru the oncoming storm.

The first one you asked is a Chinese Loach also called Chinese HiFin Banded Shark.
Thank you sooo much for saving Thier little lifes❤
Good fish shippers will put in methyline blue in with the fish to keep stress low and have lower risk of illness. They hopefully aren't sick.
Yes, it is the best cure for Whitespot I know of.
Is what they want u to think so they can dump them no biggie like this without seeing them from a close eye
Great job saving the fish to both of you
Dumpster dives are the best videos
Love these dumpster diving vids you and camera girl stay safe watching from north wales UK 👍
If your power goes out during a storm, do you have a way to keep air going in the tanks? How do you prepare for storms/hurricanes.
Battery powered bubblers!

Yeah you better keep that leather man tool handy. Otherwise a gang of raccoons might come back and abduct the camera girl.

Awfully small raccoons. Ours are 45+ lbs. HUGE!
Because he can't eat without being interrupted. ;)
