Well, the US is the size of Europe itself. On top of that, we as a single country have nearly 330mil people, and we also have a LOT of open roads and space in some areas. Since we're a car-based country, we have to make sure there's enough charging stations before EV's take over, or people will get upset waiting to charge at the ''few'' charging stations vs. how many EV cars there are being used. You have the benefit of both a smaller population, and not being big on cars as we are here.

I would ask what Miss Barra what options she would give for young people buying their first decent new car at about $11k-15k that will at least last 5 years, and if she plans to have a 20k renewable purchase option for a good segment that is solid. I would also ask, what ratio of Americans can afford a 3-5 year loan, where our monthly cost for our auto loan is less (including maintenance, fees, taxes, and insurance) than 15% of our monthly income based on our needs category.
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂. For that price all you're gonna get is a used car or new motorcycle. By used I mean 10 yrs old or older. If it's not a disposable car.
Avg car payment in America is 774 a month. Don’t believe me look it up
Good budgeting, more to finally buy a tent and 2nd dog. 😏🇺🇸.
Avg. New vehicle price is $48,000, up 30% since 2019. 10-15 k, youre looking at a 7year old vehicle with minimum of 80k miles.
When you have to work to pay the bills, you have to get to work first
The problem with an all electric lifestyle is that the US does not have the infrastructure to support it (think power outages, for as many power outages our country currently faces, how much worse will it be if we move to "all electric, not to mention what this will do to our electric bill).
As for electric vehicles, isn't it odd that the cost to replace the battery in an EV is astronomical and nobody is addressing this issue.
In the past General Motors routinely had over 40 percent market share of the new car market in the United States. The full size Chevrolet and mid size Chevrolet (both passenger cars) were routinely one of the top three or four most popular new cars sold. Cadillac routinely sold more luxury cars than all of its competitors combined.
The past is the past.
GM stayed in the past too long and is struggling to catch up.
It won't end well.
Most GM vehicles in the 90's were garbage --- I had a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee and spent over $10,000 on repairs from faulty parts!
Well, China will leave GM in the dust if GM doesn't start churning out affordable electric cars, because China is, and by 2030 many countries in the world are banning the sale of new ICE vehicles
And all the UAW and upper management both joined forces and sold out the company, they're all happily retired while the rest have to pay for it.
