One newly created chief of defence staff and three services chiefs. They are equivalent to cabinet secretary in pay and status. The IB director doesn’t wear any uniform neither four stars are assigned on his staff car or uniform collars. Apart from cds and three services chiefs, there are two more cabinet secretary rank officers; one is cabinet secretary himself and the other is isro chairman.
Brother cds chief, army,navy, airforce chief's position are not equivalent to cabine secretary... according to precidence table of india cabinet secretaries position is higher than all four star officer......btw cabinet secretary(IAS) is the highest position of government..
