Hey thanks for tuning in and commenting. Taxes all around the entire Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and surrounding areas have seen an increase, so it’s really just not Forney. In Forney, we have a number of communities that don’t have MUD or PID taxes. Our tax rate is pretty comparable to other cities around DFW.
Your video is a treasure trove of real estate wisdom. The chapter on home buying tips was especially enlightening. Your ability to simplify complex concepts makes the process less daunting. I've subscribed for more valuable insights - keep them coming!
I miss Texas can’t wait to move back. I was last in forney back in March 2023 a lot of building is crazy. You have so many options in housing. I just wish they could work on 80 quicker. They have a lot of new food options.

Forney is not full and plans have been put into place: The TXDOT Road Projects include: •US Highway 80: Reconstruction from 4 to 6 main lanes with continuous frontage road access from Lawson Road to FM 460/Clements Road •FM1641 and FM 1641 will be expanded from 2 lanes to 4 lanes. A few more projects are in the works. All of this information is available on the TXDOT website with timelines as well.
@@MovingToDallasTexas Way too little way too late, but thanks for the updates. And those are state projects. The city of Forney itself has its head in the sand about infrastructure development.
@@-sensibleChris these still benefit Forney in a major way. Better late than never. Every city his some pros and cons. Just curios, what cities do you highly recommend?
@@MovingToDallasTexas I recommend moving to East Texas, or West of Ft. Worth. Everything in the metroplex is overpriced and has major traffic. If people MUST work in Dallas, I suggest moving toward Ennis, or Kaufman. There are many small communities in between, and still a lot of country spaces available. 175 and 45 have less traffic for the next few years. I guess a person could live in Forney near I20 and go that way to work if they have to commute, but something as simple as going to Wal Mart in Forney is a real pain due to the poor layout of the city and the over-building. Midlothian might be a better option also.
You suggest Kaufman? Did you consider where residents would have to go for shopping and restaurants? Terrell and Forney. So you cannot get around the traffic. 😊 Forney is strong, they will be just fine and the locals know how to get around the traffic.

2.9% Property Taxes?!? TX is close to Chicago... Yikes
Texas had better homes and way less crime. You cannot compare the state of Texas with the city of Chicago. 😂😂😂
$780 HOA fees??? WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
