I completely agree with Anton! I did marry a single mom and raised that kid from 6 yrs old. You know what just happened 5 days ago, me and his mom had and argument and he didn't like it. So he came down stairs and told me what I needed to do. I told him to stay out of it, to make a long story short he swung on me we fought I left the house and the rest is history. So no F taking care of another man's kid

I had a friend who dated a woman with an 11 year old daughter. My friend disciplined the daughter for disrespecting her mom, and took away her TV and iPad privileges and grounded her. He never touched her. She ran to her room, called her daddy claiming “he hurt me.” 30 minutes later, her baby daddy is banging on the door with 3 goons and guns. He had to call 911 to keep these guys from kicking his door down. Needless to say, he broke up with her weeks later.
Women don't see this side of being a “crash step dummy” daddy. They try to sell the “honor” and “valor” of being a stepdad, but she’s selfishly looking at it from benefit of her and her child(dren). She’s NEVER going to look at it from HIS perspective. That lady’s baby daddy almost got my friend killed for trying to raise his child.

His family reminded him that her past was damaging his present and could end his future. He finally listened to head over his heart. We often talk about how women struggle with heart > head, and knowing when to switch to head > heart. Men can, too.

Regardless of being raised by single parent, if you know the statistics and lived the disadvantages of it, to go down the same path is crazy and def a choice.
My son was a step father and his ex was a big mouth narcissist. She put him through hell and between them they had 2 children under 5yrs old and she had 2 older boys of her own. When he finally left, his little son and her 2 older boys wanted to go with him. She said they're not yours their mine, they're not going anywhere. My son paid the bills, did the majority of the housework and washing on top of working 12hr days. She stayed home and accused him of being useless and that she did everything at home (effin lying you know what). He tried so hard to make it work and she abused him and used they're children including hers against him. Never again. He will be taking her to court for custody of his 2 children. My son found out from her ex (the 2 older boys father) that he had to distance himself from his sons because that poor excuse of a partner use to also use his children against him to get what she wanted not what the children needed, a father. So no, I wouldn't recommend being a step father.
