      karen30ful its not just full of history its full of beautiful sights and nature and the solar panels are called the greeting of the sun and they light up at night and that's all because we have one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world. Go visit national park plitvice and velebit or national park Krka and enjoy the beauty of zadar, Croatia 🇭🇷.

    Awesome. You popped up in my TH-cam "recommended" video feed. I live in Jersey City, NJ, but am Croatuan American. I am the first one in my family born in the States. My parents came to the US in the 60s. They are from the islands off of Zadar. My parents moved us (including my baby sister) back in the early 80s but left well before the war broke out. My wife's family are all from Zadar as well. She and I and our now 7 year old daughter go the Zadar every other year. Your video really put a smile on my face. This is an "off year" when we are not going to Croatia so it was nice to walk through the old town with you. There is so much history there. Before WWII the town was even more beautiful........you can find some great pics online.....but still incredible to this day. Sorry for the long message....your video inspired me :) Safe travels. Anthony.

    Croatia is cool , people are friendly and the prices are reasonable even in the most touristic places like Dubrovnik

    • @PhilippeWaxweiler
      @PhilippeWaxweiler 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Dubrovnik is very expensive, 20€ to get on the walls and the old town is super expensive for Croatia. But there are some tricks to live cheaper there, you can buy your food outside the old town for example in some supermarket because the old town is overpriced. :)

    I was there in April. It is a really beautiful place. we stayed in a hostel by the bell tower. Thought i was tripping (didnt do much research in Zadar) beacuse we arrived into croatia at about 1:00am and we thought we would look around, saw some bright lights on the floor (which was the sun salutation) and then heard the organs. hope you enjoyed croatia as much as we did.

    If you had a tourist's guide you'd know you walked on the remains of an old Roman Forum constructed between the 1st century BC and the 3rd century AD. Sea Organ (where you heard 'weird music') and Greetings To the Sun, the solar panel circle, during the day the panels absorb the light and at night it lights up like a disco floor. People's square and City Loggia, narrow streets of the Varos, there's also Camp Kastelo, you missed the Sphinx if you went to another beach on the 'modern' city side. Barkarjol little rowboats that can get you across the bay for a small fee, or you could walk across the bridge, city walls, not as big and famous as the ones in Dubrovnik, but still there, the cathedral of St. Anastasia. You passed by all these places and didn't even know.

    Gabe, if I new you were coming to Zadar it would have been great to meet you, at 5.32mins you are looking up my street :) I love traveling the world so we would have a lot to talk about :) I would even give you a car tour and show you some amazing places that are not reachable by public transportation, even take you to Velebit mountains for a hike, the hell, I would even give you free accommodation :) Well, I guess, maybe you prefer to do these explorations alone but from my perspective it would be great to meet you in person :)
