Can I use the free action (with the costs of two operation resource) only to perform an action on a card or token (and not a regular action like Hire a staff or Building a stadium infrastructure), right?

That cheap superstar defender that could cause an own own is a great mechanism :) I know two or three defenders like that. Loving this playthrough.
I'm not even a football or sports fan and I can see myself enjoying this game. This run through helped us see how fun it can be and that they're listening to the community. I went ahead and backed it and I'm really excited about all the content they're coming up with.

Thank you for this playthrough - helped me see it’s not for me. I’ll keep my football managing to video games, seems a much better format to me at least. Worthy effort by the design team on this game though.

I think the resource increase vs resource pool level is a little confusing in the iconography. Other than that, there seems to be a a little too much going on in this game. Four player game would take forever going on the time it takes to roll through a turn. Still might back it though. :)
FYI number 10 jersey is usually given to the best player such as Messi who are typically forward (offensive) players.

I think adding a rule about getting 1 vp if you win with two or more goals would make the matches more exciting.
bear in mind i had a very early prototype and i think the game changed a fair bit as development continued...
I am not sure about this because I can't find the rules, but: 36:58 the note says Rahdo should have suffered a goal but the strengths were 2-2. Shouldn't it be that the opposite team didn't score besides Rahdo's numbers confusion?
The game does look interesting. I like how the planning and, then, resolving of the teams reflect the movements and tasks asked to players to keep during the match, or goal opportunities (like the 10 defender in the first match scoring one for the team). I was noticing a lot of people confused with the numbers and the weird position of players in the field, but that looks positive to me (nevertheless it is still odd to see a 3 player defence leaving one side open xD). From my perspective, the idea behind the ball and shield in the tokens is more about mentality set, and their position is what actually makes them defender-midfielder-attacker. So, you can have a attacker with a defence job and a defender striking for a goal opportunity.
The rest of the week looks like a normal economic game with, seems like, interesting choices. For sure it will be a game I will want to try, but the price makes it really hard for me to get it.
He would suffer a goal because you make pairs of players in each section, so you would pair the 2 attacker with a 1 defender and he would score... the other defender there would do nothing as he wouldn't be paired with anyone

In the second game, you didn't give yourself a goal for Evans, but I think you should have. Evans is a 3 attacker against a 1 defender. I think you should've won 4-1 instead of 3-1.
