Hey team love the videos, I live in golden bay top of the South Island there’s been some good gold found around district over the years! Watching your guys videos has inspired me to get out and fossick around some of the creeks for fun
LOVE the gold color . thanks for sharing.
Outstanding upload!
nice sluice! Very cool to see how a fairly small amount of material gives such a good result!
Be safe!!
This is my life dream to find gold. Never done this in my life but will do one day in my life. No gold in Hawkes Bay 😂
They found small amounts of gold in the mohaka river, even dug a small mine there, was a copper mine close by to it as well I think.
Great video bud
Great vid as always nice gold cheers .

Hi mate im moving to invercargille in 2 weeks any chance you prospect near southland?😅
Haven’t been further south than Dunedin in a decade sadly let alone for gold prospecting, but I have heard of some spots down there 🤙
can you find gold in the north island aswell?
Most probably can how ever you'd need to buy your own claim, there isn't any public prospecting spots in the north island
Thank you for liking my comment. I am interested to buy a sluice box. Would you like to guide me which size slhice box is good and what type of rubber mats are better.
I would recommend a small-medium sluice box to start, and honestly it depends on your ground to which type is going to be best
Do you find plenty of Garnets on all the West Coast beaches?
Not all of them but lots on this one
Great content.
Any advice for young roosters 🐓 looking at giving this a crack.
South Island based.
Cheers
Hi guys, thanks heaps! My advice is watch some of the newer Sluicers videos on Slab Hutt creek, then get some pans and head over there for a weekend or a day and give it a go, you will see the type of spot you need to check out to find gold there on the videos, see if you like it and then from there invest in a sluice and start trying the other areas. Paydirt can be a good way to start to learn to pan and see what gold looks like if you don’t yet know. Best of luck, Cheers- The Sluicers
Do you need to buy a lease or permit?
Cheers
I want the giveaway lol
did you have to get a permit for this in new zealand?
For beach prospecting yes or to have permission to someone else’s permit, New Zealand as a whole no not necessarily as there are 20 public gold areas you can go to without permit.
@@TheSluicers thank you for this. are you able to send a llink for more info because i want start but dont want to get in trouble
What's patreon please
Patreon is an external site where creators can offer exclusive bonuses to followers in exchange for a small monthly donation, we have one and the link is in this videos descprtion
Do you need a permit to do this.
Depends on your country, region and area 👍
The size of the gold particles depicted on the home screen here is false. Click bait! Beach gold is that fine that sometimes it can actually "float"on top of water! 😮
@@outthere9370 This is a picture of the exact gold found in this video, it’s not false clickbait. All gold if thin enough can actually float on top of water, flakes more so than beach gold due to the surface tension caused by their larger surface area, I’ve had a 0.05 gram picker float just because it was so flat. The reason for the more flakey chunkier gold here is gold that has been washed straight into this bay by the surrounding gold bearing creeks then deposited accordingly, as you can see in this video we are actually mining around the mouth of a river that is bringing down fresh flakey chunkier gold, there is a mixture of fine beach gold that has travelled further and coming in from sea, and slighter chunkier stuff coming out of the creeks and helping to get redeposited by the sea. Cheers
Shame you won't share where you prospect so us beginners cauld have a chance to find some gold.
It's called prospecting, get out in the rivers and try for yourself,.
And when you do find some It's an awsome feeling
We do share where we prospect and have dozens of videos dedicated to helping begginers find gold, almost all of the public fossicking areas in New Zealand where begginers could go are covered extensively. Even our best most private sites we share on Patreon as well, however you can’t expect us to share the location of other peoples private permits. Go to the channel and click the videos section and scroll through and you will find some good locations 🤙🤙
