have had one in my trx4 for a year and it never skips a beat. i love all the programming options too it teaches you a lot about how settings and car setups work and affect the driving experience
I own 2 Pros and an SE all based on your reviews. I've only been I the Crawler game 9 mon'ths and I'm 6 highly modded rigs in already. Love your channel. Thanks sharing. 👍🏾💯
I was barely able to find and afford sadly an 1800 KV and have been saving for the pro before seen this.. an absolute world of difference on my 2-year rig I was gifted and it's like my service pet crawler pretty much bone stock besides aluminum rims and rapture tires and was absolutely night and day compared to OG motor with over 100 packs!! Squealed like a banshee.... Maybe one day I can afford some brass but thank you for the channel, great advice products and tips and keep it up everything you recommended has been helpful and especially being disabled with custom controls I used by mouth to radio Master gimbal spliced into SLT3 transmitter haha
Awesome review as always Francis. I bought the Pro 1800kv as soon as you did a review and put it into my SCX-10. Absolutely transformed the whole crawler experience from that day forward. Would absolutely recommend them. a few crawler buddies got the SE and you wouldn't tell the difference in the way they drive that are that good. Would love if they would come OEM with new crawlers. Imagine how many more people would get into this hobby!!!
I put the fusion pro in my heavily modded everest 10. This is the absolute best motor I've put in this rig. I've tried max 10's, quicruns of various turns. The fusion pro is amazing. I'm running an 87 tooth spur with a 17t pinion. So i get great trail running speed, and pretty good crawling speed / torque. But the slow speed modulation is absolutely amazing! The only setting I've changed from default, was to turn down reverse from 100 to 50.
I've got a friend who swears by the Fusion SE every time we talk about crawler motors. Still I just bought the Pro version for myself, just for the additional power to run my 7kg TRX-4 (optimized for looks over crawling performance).
With the cost of these so comparable to the brushed setups included with many RTRs (but with significantly better performance), I hope manufacturers will include these in a lot more of their new RTRs! 👍
I’ve got 3 crawlers with the fusion SE and 2 crawlers with the Pro…..I bought the Pro versions before the SE came out , very happy with the pro but for the money I’m sticking with the SE from now on….the minor differences between the 2 isn’t worth the extra for the Pro with my needs.. Great review as always!
The Fusion SE is most likely the best "bang for the buck" mod you can do to any TRX-4. I bought a Fusion SE Fusion SE 1800kv for my new High Trail 1979 F150at the same time I bought the F150, and I installed the SE within an hour of bringing the F150 home. My older TRX-4 Defender has the original Fusion 1800kv motor in it, and I can't tell the difference between that one and the SE.
What tires are those on the blazer during the trail run at 7:17? I'm looking for a good trail tire that is decent on all surfaces not just rocks and it looks like they are doing well.
Its a little journey. Otley modelsport (UK) is my nearest shop. They are awesome. Great shop. Nearly bought the pro last weekend. Had an eye on the 1800kv. £135, including card. The 2300kv £134. Card, £10. Adapter lead. £5. This vid made up my mind. Pro it is.
I just installed one in my SCX10 II. It did great on the rocks, but on the trail, it was kinda noisy and jerky. I am going to try a different setting the next time out. .
I would like you to compare the se to a ISD 70 or 90. I have the hw pro and both of the ISD esc and they all perform great for a crawler. Just depends on your budget. Love your videos
They look like the same product. One is 70amp max output and the other is 90 amp. Thus they'll work the same for a crawler. the ISDT ESC90, one can use for faster car/basher applications.
My father has the pro 2300kv in his trx4 sport, i have the 1800kv SE in my trx4 sport. The only differences we've found is the drag brake rate. Top speed and start up speed we've found they are the same. Trucks are almost identical apart from motors.
how were you able to use the Blazer body on the Sport without using the inner fenders? I tried to do that but the holes didn't line up in the rear. I did eventually get the inner fenders and was able to use it.
I am having issues installing the Hobbywing Fusion SE in my Everest 10 it likes about 3mm and it'll fit. I didn't do enough research to make sure it would fit. Should I send the motor back or is there a way to make it work?
Hey brother. Great video as usual. 😊 I have a question. What would be your recommendation on a 1/10 Redcat Racing lightning stk brushless motor and esc combo to achieve 70 mph? I bought the car and enjoy it on 2s but would love to see it do 70 mph.
It can handle one no problem but two is tough if both servos are at full load. That being said, I can’t see both servos asking full load at the same time.
It will work since that's a 2-speed but there's better motors for the job so it will be way better than stock. Something with a big can and lots of power would be cool. Something like this would be good bit.ly/4593Mw8
Can this setup (Sport with the Fusion SE) be used on walking trails and if so is it whining? I'd like to attend an event like "Beat the Creek" for example as well as take it on walking trails near my house but I don't want it to be so loud that it annoys other walkers.
Is this an old video? This motor came out a while ago now and Im sure you covered it already. Going off the thumbnail I thought there was a new product out quite weird timing to cover this motor again with no new info?
Check for any binding in the drivetrain by taking the motor of and turning the spur gear by hand. Otherwise, electronic issue and should really not get hot at all in a crawler.

appreciate your videos man, completely new and without knowledge of the hobby but you are easy to follow. so thank you 😅

I agree, I recently picked up an OG SCX 10 and did a full scale build. I fitted the fusion SE and it was a game changer for sure. Best mod ever!
Fusion SE is the most worth it purchase of my life
Dollar per dollar, there really is nothing in its class.
I just got one a month ago for my trx4 sport. It really is such a fundamental difference in performance. It's so good!
I have the SE in my Knightrunner and 3 Fusion pros in other rigs, great value and performance 🙌🏼
Totally impressive- price wise and performance.

Great share. OEM that and the Flysky GT5 and it will be game over!

love the all in one combos. I have a pro and now I just want all my trucks to run the all in one systems
Yeah, it makes other motor/esc systems harder to live with.
Love your videos so informative
I've got a friend who swears by the Fusion SE every time we talk about crawler motors.

I put one in my gen 8 and geared down and it's quite impressive, well worth the mullah
Yeah, gear down, gear up depending on the application. This baby can handle it!
Yep Good call.I have one in my G shot
Using an injora planetary transmission and yota2 axles on 3S at 1200 kv was still able to hill climb sand. So they can do a lot.
With the cost of these so comparable to the brushed setups included with many RTRs (but with significantly better performance), I hope manufacturers will include these in a lot more of their new RTRs! 👍
Oh man, imagine that if this was OEM. The crawler scene would get a ton more people into the hobby with a much better experience.

Great review as always!
My thoughts exactly. On a blind test, can't really tell the difference (aside from top speed_
When there is a sale in one of the online shops here, the Fusion SE 1200KV only costs as much as a HW 1080 ESC.
Great video going to have to get one.
Where did you buy those wheels on the sants cruz power wagon? Thank you.
Great video and info! What wheels And size is that on your grey blazer? Looks good
I just threw one in my rc speedy a1 moon buggy with a shiftrcs x2 works great 👍
Very good to hear.
They're both great Motors
Yeah, head and shoulders above the competition right nowl.
Building my 1st crawler. This is making decisions a little bit better 💯👍
What kind did you pick?
right on. Get the 1800kv.
Yes the 1800. Going in SCXIII
Impossible to beat the Fusion SE for it's cost to performance ratio. It's truly a game changer!
Rrrright? Th more folks find out about it, the more the alternatives pale in comparison.

Great to hear! Good luck with it.
I just installed one in my SCX10 II. It did great on the rocks, but on the trail, it was kinda noisy and jerky. I am going to try a different setting the next time out. .
Yeah, sounds like something else is going on.
I just put the 1800kv in a wraith and it was perfect.
I would like you to compare the se to a ISD 70 or 90. I have the hw pro and both of the ISD esc and they all perform great for a crawler. Just depends on your budget. Love your videos

Very, very good share man! Thank you.
Would this be suited to a TRX6 G63? I've been thinking of upgrading to brushless. I want more top speed for trail bashing.
how were you able to use the Blazer body on the Sport without using the inner fenders? I tried to do that but the holes didn't line up in the rear. I did eventually get the inner fenders and was able to use it.
I have the 1800kv in my rc4wd truck and it performs just the same as my pro.
Yeah, thank for that first hand experience share.
Awesome review - but your Canyon Trails on backwards triggered my OCD haha!!
:) now i see it...
What pinion do u recommend if u want it a little faster i currently have an og scx10 with a 20t in it
I am having issues installing the Hobbywing Fusion SE in my Everest 10 it likes about 3mm and it'll fit. I didn't do enough research to make sure it would fit. Should I send the motor back or is there a way to make it work?
which car is the red one? an element? thank you
What wheels are in the trx4?
Sir hope you notice me .
How about the temperature of motor? It is hot after played?
And HW 1080 esc program card can used on that motor to program?

Some high KV Hobbywing for 10th scale would be good. 4s battery will get it going too. Something like this looks like it would fit. bit.ly/3DUdZB3
@@RCReviewChannel thank you.
Question do you believe the 6 amp bec of the fusion pro is capable of running 2 reefs 800lp for 4 wheel steer with not issues?
It can handle one no problem but two is tough if both servos are at full load. That being said, I can’t see both servos asking full load at the same time.
Kool...Would this power my heavy trx6?
It will work since that's a 2-speed but there's better motors for the job so it will be way better than stock. Something with a big can and lots of power would be cool. Something like this would be good bit.ly/4593Mw8
How many amps are the BECs for these new combo units rated at? Nothing on the Hobbywing website.
5 amp I believe. The new Fusion Pros have 6 amp
3 Amp. They removed the specs now but used to list that.
Can this setup (Sport with the Fusion SE) be used on walking trails and if so is it whining? I'd like to attend an event like "Beat the Creek" for example as well as take it on walking trails near my house but I don't want it to be so loud that it annoys other walkers.
The motor is dead quiet.
@@RCReviewChannel Excellent. Sounds like it really is the perfect upgrade. Thank you for doing what you do for us. 😍🥰
I still have stock electronics in my sport since 2 year and i pulled my 70kg brother like 1 km. I will live them in there untill something dies😂
would say the PRO is better suited for the single speeds like the TRX4 Sport?
Definitely. Pro has more dynamic range
Does it fit the axial first gen rubicon ?
Axial Jeep Rubicon? Yes.
Will it connect to my fms atlas controller I ordered one the other day
Yes!
Is this an old video? This motor came out a while ago now and Im sure you covered it already. Going off the thumbnail I thought there was a new product out quite weird timing to cover this motor again with no new info?
This is just a long-term update.
Apakah hobbywing fusion se perlu untuk di waterproof ulang?
They come fully waterproof. I have had mine completely underwater more time than I can count. And it's as good as new
Is one brushless and one brush?
These are both brushless.
I installed it a week ago on a shafty just to check it and guess what..... It will stay there a little while... Maybe for a long time! 😂😂😂
Yeah, it's really pretty shocking how it performs, for the price.
Are these easy to install?
Easier than anything else.... since no esc.
If you want punch also dont put the SE in a 6x6.
My stock atlas motor is getting hot when I use it only for five minutes and it's hot asf
Check for any binding in the drivetrain by taking the motor of and turning the spur gear by hand.
Otherwise, electronic issue and should really not get hot at all in a crawler.
I got 2 wen I got 1 for my 1st build 😂
Haha, it won't go to waste!
Still seems slowerer than 1080wp combo
Hobbywing 1080 can be matched with an array of motors 10turn is fast, bu less control. 27t is slower but has more control.
@@RCReviewChannel that is true. But again 70 bucks is amazing. I’ve made my choice for my knightrunner. Fusion se here I come. Thank you! 🙏
uh this review is like 6 months too old..... late to the party
We did a piece on it 6 months ago. This is a just a long-term review with good footage.
Do you have a video showing your settings for your SE?
