Great reaction. The phone call is Screech calling his girlfriend looking for somewhere to hide out and shows how volatile he is when she says no. Ren's father plays medieval music on the Lute and storytelling and you can hear that wandering minstrel style a lot with Ren. Try The Hunger or losing it for his rap skills. Theres so much to choose from with Ren,hes a Swiss army knife.
It always surprises me when reactors don’t realise it’s part of the performance lol, but they don’t know that Ren doesn’t do things by accident at this point
I honestly wish more reactors went back and listened again. I mean, you GOT the main twist right away and STILL went back. Ive seen reactors miss it completely then sit there and fake it. Great reaction.

Thank you for your reaction. Ren was in the busking band "the big push". If you like raggae you might enjoy their mash up of "I shot the sheriff/road to zion/hiphop". For rapping you could take a look at "losing it" where he raps over an EDM beat by Fisher, "Illest of our time" and "the hunger".
Jennys tale was prompted by a newspaper story and people saying its such a shame then a few months later came Screeches tale then it was nearly 2 years later he released Violets tale tying it all together. Masterpiece.

@@CasualReactionshe's got a bunch of reggae influenced songs. Sometimes it's both the music and vocals and sometimes the reggae just creeps into his vocals on a track that doesn't sound like it would be reggae influenced. If you'd like some reggae influenced songs, probably his most popular are "Murderer" which he then released a live acoustic version soon after, and with The Big Push where they cover "I Shot The Sheriff/Road To Zion/Hip Hop" in a live busking session on the streets of Brighton. Jenny was NOT a streetwalker. Ren was asked this and REN said NO , that she had enough problems. My assumption is that she would take walks to escape those problems. I think the confusion comes because Ren said the song is based on an article he read abt a 14 yr old killing a prostitute , however in his story Jenny is not. Also I recently found out that in the UK, instead of John/Jane Doe ,their kids are labeled James/Jennifer, and in the song he said Screech's name is James and Jenny is short for Jennifer. The conclusion is that upon Violets death, they are sent into foster care and raised separately, hence why they did not know each other.
Well, she was on high heels, had rosies on her cheecks, walked the streets a thousand times before in a dodgy area (symphony of the night echoes crime on London's streets) - imo, this is the definition of a streetwalker / hooker / prostitute... 🤷
So I'm not sure if you want back and listened at all yet? If you haven't I suggest maybe give it a couple shots you're going to realize he actually did sprinkle things throughout the entire thing! And the message of this one is talking about generational violence. And there's really only two ways to stop that cycle. Also Screech ended up picking up the traits of the father and Jenny picks up the same traits as violet. Once you hear that if you really listen to the words you'll be surprised at how this is top tier story telling! I think my favorite words are the fact that he brings back it happened on these very streets
Loved the reaction! Sick Boi should be next! It talks about his near decade of misdiagnosis. If your curious to learn REN’s story the troubles playlist has 8 chapters with ren sitting down sharing his story just skip the songs so you can react to them. Sick Boi may only be up a short while due to legal issues explained in a video on REN’s TH-cam which leads into why he wrote Kujo beatdown. Another sick track but you’ll want the backstory and to see sick boi first
Subbed and checking your Hi Ren next. A great rap of his is The Hunger. He's basically showing a lot of different techniques and beat boxing at the end too!
Recommendations in different styles -- easy. No two Ren songs are the same exact style. Even his raps are all different. And I love them all. My recommendations: Losing It; Latest collab - Baggage w/Chris Webby; old school rap - What You Want; my favorite cover (today) - Englishman in New York with his band, The Big Push; my favorite big production number -- Animal Flow. So much more... Have fun!
Another great reaction. Ren's tale of the cycle of generational violence. You caught more than most on your first watch/listen. I noticed something new myself while watching this with you (crazy, I've probably watched this more than a few hundred times). During Jenny's Tale, a bright light shines on Ren's face when he mentions "divine intervention." For some Reggae check out Murderer (live acoustic version) and The Big Push's cover of I shot The Sheriff/Road To Zion/Hip Hop. Walking On The Moon with Liv Sangster is fun too. 💛🤘🤙✌️
23:06 If there's a subtle message I think that it's about how being poor can, at times, force you to be in horrible situations, and that violence can be generational. 23:38 he showcases his knowledge of rap with a variety of flows in "The Hunger".
Ren has said in an interview, Jenny was not a streetwalker, that she had enough problems, however this song is based on an article he read abt a youngster killing a prostitute, but I understand the confusion, especially since he mentions high heeled shoes. What 14 yr old walks at night like that?? I'm thinking maybe she was dressed up and something broke out , and she just ran out to get away and get some air, take a walk, clear her head. BUT , then again I don't know ??? I'm just going by what Ren said. Maybe he forgot when he wrote the song and remembered that detail from the article and put that in, not knowing we would interpret it as her being a hooker??? Don't you hate you wrote a few words and got back a dissertation as a reply. 😀😁
Reggae you say? Try Ren in the band The Big Push, I Shot the Sheriff/ Road to Zion. Rap you say? Try Ren in The Hunger or Losin' It. My friend you have struck gold! I subbed for this Ren rabbit hole! ❤❤❤ Great reaction and I agree, it feels like you are along with Ren during these Tales 😊
Another great reaction!❤ This song/story can be interpreted to be about generational violence. If you like Reggae…..watch/listen to REN’s band, ‘The Big Push’, doing some live busking to the songs I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion. If you want to hear REN rap..I suggest, “The Hunger”.
New subscriber here! AND I'm a relatively new RENegade. I would recommend "Murderer"! He has two versions: the original, plus a live acoustic version, which is reggae-flavored! ☺️ If you make it a double feature, I'll get my popcorn ready! 🍿
Ren can absolutely rap. He can also sing and is self taught on at least 4 instruments. He writes all of his non-cover lyrics, produces his own work and does 95% of his own beats. He also loves reggae and you'll hear a lot of it when he sings with his band The Big Push. This is the darkest of Ren's tales so far, by the way. This is the one that coined the term Bardcore and you can see why. It gets worse when you think that Jenny was 14 and wearing makeup that made Screech think she was a "lady" and heels walking "on streets she walked a thousand times before"... Jenny & Screech's tale was based on a newspaper story of an underage prostitute being murdered and the 14 year old perpetrator being shot by the police on the next street. The police chief stated "so young, it's such a shame". Violet's Tale was written 2 years later.
Ive watched over 60 reactions to this and not once does anyone mention its written very carefully in such a way as to make sure you can follow it, the hard to follow bits are stressed several times, or when he says Miracle its used cleverly to snap you back into listening carefully the phone call should be obvious but those who don't get it should realize 3 lines later when he shouts at the cop in the same voice as the phone call this is on top of the brilliant story telling makes this a masterpiece
"he can rap" ... I suggest you listen to: "The Hunger" -or- "Losing It" ... Ren does not fit into any one "genre box". Love the reaction ... much love ♥!
The first time I watched this I missed the going back in time part at the beginning of Violet's Tale-- it didn't register in my brain, so I didn't get the twist until I watched again. Now it seems so obvious. I love how Ren says so little, but we can all fill in the part of the story where Violet died and Stevie went to prison so the twins were separated and adopted out, didn't know each other.
I wish when the Renegades ask people to react to this. they would also comment you need to hear every word if you miss something go back i personally believe in this case subtitles should be used the only spoiler is that she is pregnant but it doesn't ruin anything its a much better experience if you hear/understand the song in its entirety
I'm late. The point of the phone call is the show Screeches desperation. Unless we would not know why the little maniac decided to bring a knife to a gun fight with the cop.
@@CasualReactions That's a rabbit hole that's really worth exploring! I haven't seen any of your videos yet (but this one) but I can tell that you have a deep appreciation of deep lyricism. Hey my brother another good reaction , if you like reggae you should try ( the big push , I shot the sheriff by ren you will love love love it x) you can thank me later , we will all be watching and waiting
FYI, Ren doesn't copyright claim his videos for reactors, so there is no need for mandatory pauses during his videos. Occasionally the algorithm will automatically flag a video, but if you dispute the claim, Ren's team will release it right away.
It’s a story of generational violence. Jenny was quiet and stood silent in fear like her mum and Screech was violent like his Dad. Screech couldn’t take Jenny’s silence when he robbed her just like Stevie couldn’t take Violets silence. You can assume Violet died, Stevie goes to jail and twins end up in the care system not knowing each other.
one thing a renegade will never do is drop the spoiler to this song not once has there even been a hint in the comments asking people to react, it would be the ultimate betrayal to our hero our savior from the BS of 80% of today's pop music
Hey it's about the cycle of violence and it hurts to watch but it's supposed to. You just started the rabbithole so may I suggest ocean or heretic? Very little is light hearted tho
one thing ive seen in reactions to this is people not understanding they are now orphans yes dad is alive but he killed the mother so no he would not get custody

Always great to see people discover Ren. I am wondering why you would spoil this trilogy for everyone who has not heard it with your ClickBait thumbnail heading? I have watched hundreds and hundreds (if not more) of reactions to this trilogy. Only one other channel has mentioned similar in their thumbnail and I called them out also. It comes across as really quite selfish to spoil the event by alerting listeners prior to hearing this. I am sure you did not intend that and was just too caught up in your excitement to stop and think of the consequences of your wording. New listeners to Ren, will now spend their entire experience "Waiting" for something to happen and second guessing what that could be. Great way to spoil their listening experience, and not what I would describe as a channel which cares for their audience. I wonder how many others would have liked to be introduced to this trilogy in such a fashion?? I hope you consider the minority you are in amongst other reactors, the rest of whom have taken care Not to spoil the experience for any listeners hearing this for the first time. Hope you enjoy the rest of your discovery of Ren's catalogue,

New subscriber here! AND I'm a relatively new RENegade. I would recommend "Murderer"! He has two versions: the original, plus a live acoustic version, which is reggae-flavored! ☺️ If you make it a double feature, I'll get my popcorn ready! 🍿
Lol thank you!
Lots of rap to choose from, but my early favourite was - still might be - Power.
I've heard that one mentioned a lot!
that is indeed a story! 😄
oh yeah..he can rap ..he can do anything
And 10 days later, you are at 1.7K subs, nice job 👍
Man I know! It's crazy!!
I enjoyed your reaction and subbed,
Thank you so much!
May I be the first to welcome you as a Brother Renegade!❤️🔥
Thanks Tracey!

Damn
RENegade here reporting for duty 🙌 here in Britain
Well done Geoff. Most fun Ren video (imho) is "What you want". Old-school hip hop. Cheers!👍
Thank you! That sounds fun!!
Yes! I love Ren's rapping! ❤
Rap + Reggae = Murderer
🤘
Both original video and the live version. Two songs, same words, but very different vibes. Keep it going, the rabbit hole is deep.
2 days ago you were pkeased with 521 subscriptions. 1.6k when i looked today. That's Renegades for you. 😊
521 new subscriptions. But yes, that is a ton for me!! Thank you guys
Great reaction ❤
Thank you!
That's what I love about this channel, everyone filling in the blanks together painting an even brighter picture!
You should've gone to Violet, he says "To set the scene, we must rewind the hands of time for Violets tale"
Remember to get your notification on for the new Ren song on the 17th... Money Ties❤❤ hope to see you in the premier ❤❤ much love
I hope I get off from work in time!
#ren can do it all 🔥🙌🔥
love ren, anyways new subscriber! you look like an aged santizap(youtube)
Lol damn how old do you think I am?? 🤣
No one is really prepared when is to a Ren songs 😁
You need to experience Harry Mack 💯!
I don't know how many rabbit holes i can go down lol
@@CasualReactions That's a rabbit hole that's really worth exploring! I haven't seen any of your videos yet (but this one) but I can tell that you have a deep appreciation of deep lyricism. You will see that the HMack community is all about the love❤️ⁿ.... and the bars. And for a matter of fact the Ren community and the Harry Mack community have a lot of overlap💯. Just tell me if you wanna do it and I can send you the Roadmap of how it's best to navigate through his videos. Because there's definitely a way to do it😊
Let me finish one of the rabbit holes I'm in first lol. I work a ton(60+ hrs a week) and am trying to put out a video per day right now on top of that. I'm always down for more music though, just can't commit haha
New sub for more Ren.
Thanks for being here!
Yup!!😂😂😂❤
Hehe....yes, Ren has been known to rap a few times. You might want to check “the hunger” ;)
So I've been told haha 👍
Thanks!
If you like Regae then youll like this live performance from Ren's old band "The Big Push" Ren is self taught on guitar & piano. Here's a good Bob Marley & Damien Marley.

Nice reaction !
React about the Money Game Triology, please
Has anyone considered the newspaper headlines the next day? "Brother Unknowingly Kills Sister in Attempted Robbery." "Bizarre Fratricide Ends with Police Shooting." You get the idea.
That's a wild thought for sure!
Ren's favorite is Seven Sins, absolutely top notch.
@@mariachaful seven sins is his best work yet in my opinion
Note taken. 🗒
@@Caketime2 it's absolute fire! 🔥
But wanna make sure I say hi ren, and the trilogies are genius and masterful. I guess I mean lyric wise it's his best rap lol
❤😂😢💙🦋💙🦋💙🦋💙
Rapping? Try "The Hunger".
Hey my brother another good reaction , if you like reggae you should try ( the big push , I shot the sheriff by ren you will love love love it x) you can thank me later , we will all be watching and waiting
For sure, I'll thank you now haha!

FYI, Ren doesn't copyright claim his videos for reactors, so there is no need for mandatory pauses during his videos. Occasionally the algorithm will automatically flag a video, but if you dispute the claim, Ren's team will release it right away.
Rap, try Down on the Beat or Illest of Our Time.
Thank you!
Makes a ton of sense!
one thing a renegade will never do is drop the spoiler to this song not once has there even been a hint in the comments asking people to react, it would be the ultimate betrayal to our hero our savior from the BS of 80% of today's pop music
RENagades on duty
If i have a penny everytime a reactor don't get the "phone call scene" i would have 10 dollars at the very least.
Hey it's about the cycle of violence and it hurts to watch but it's supposed to. You just started the rabbithole so may I suggest ocean or heretic? Very little is light hearted tho
One shot and recorded live
one thing ive seen in reactions to this is people not understanding they are now orphans yes dad is alive but he killed the mother so no he would not get custody
You should also try some (Tom McDonald) songs aswell if you do the HOG family will come and your views and subs will grow more , renegades and the HOG family move the same just trust me .
Haha ok, I don't listen to that much rap though. I'm not sure if I'll like my own reaction lol
@@CasualReactions
All you have to do is listen to the message , just say what you think , we all just want to see your reaction , Tom McDonald will surprise you , u have to hear his message .
Hope you enjoy the rest of your discovery of Ren's catalogue,
Thank you for watching and sharing your opinion.
If you don’t understand what the phone call is about you aren’t following the lyrics and story 🥲
Doing my best
My original reaction was “oh shit” too the first time I watched this ❤
