She was sipping on the drink , as an homage to the original Dragonforce video. When the guitar solos between both guitarist are going . One of them starts drinking as the other one plays his solo.
It makes me happy just knowing she exists and that she can perform like she does.
She always made me smile when she was this young and had a mad amount of enthusiasm and fun - and her drumming was always ridiculously good for her age.

How old was she there? I'm thinking 15?? Hard to tell with Asians cause they always look so young!
@@GG_AJfan I don't know if Junna has ever revealed her age, but she's believed to be around 25ish now, so that would put her around 22 in this video.

Junna don't play note by note, she puts her own flare into it. In Painkiller she does quite a few things that I don't think Scott Travis wouldn't think of doing. She's just amazing! Check out her previous band "Girls Rock Band Kakumei"

Junna is an amazing drummer, there just seems to be something in the water in Japan, lol. Another very interesting Japanese drummer is Yoyoka Soma, a 13 year old young lady who has a huge amount of untapped potential. Coming from a musical family, she started playing drums at two years old, and there's a number of those old videos on her TH-cam channel. She started her own TH-cam channel at the age of five and has been doing covers of many rock classics on drums. She also gave tutorials on playing the drums for other young people who wanted to learn. She put out her first CD at six or seven years old. She's a true prodigy, as she doesn't read music, but learns by ear and can reproduce almost exactly, with some of her own flourishes, in two days. She has sat in with Fall Out Boy and Onyx played drums with Cindy Lauper's band when they were on tour in Japan. She also composes (so I guess she can read music now) and produces her own videos. She won the "Hit Like A Girl" contest at NAMM in Los Angeles at age eight, topping Senri Yamaguchi's record for youngest winner. She has also had a good relationship with Carmine Appice, of Vanilla Fudge and Beck, Bogert and Appice. For her 12th birthday, she enlisted some of the best session musicians and singers in Japan to do her recording sessions and cover some of the greatest rock songs from Van Halen, Deep Purple, Joe Satriani. You should check them out. Li-sa-X also participated in the sessions. Yoyoka and some of her young friends did a great cover of Janis Joplin's Move Over. with the oldest member being 13. Watching her play makes me think that Akane Hirose was the same way when she was that age.
She also played Drums for Marty Friedman in Japan.

Not only an amazing drummer but an amazing entertainer as well.
Probably she used the tracks for Guitar Hero and was able to omit the drum track. That's what Herman Lee said about Tina S's guitar cover of this song.
She is older than you would think. She is now in her mid 20's as far as I know (the ages Pilko T. put sound about right from what I have heard before). But that doesn't really matter in the end. I always enjoy watching her play and it was cool to see her play with Gasshan/Ichinose. While she did clearly not hold back in most parts, she managed to not overshadow the rest of the band most of the time which was a "problem" she unconsciously had in the past.
If anyone in any calling enjoyed themselves as much as Junna does they would be a lot happier. She is ball energy and didn't start the drums till she was 14! She is in her mid 20"s here. She is a natural born entertainer, she can play the drums as well as anyone but she is such a blast to watch her doing it.

Junna looks young but she was 23 at the time of TTFAF cover and 25 for Painkiller, she started drums at age 15. She's always 200% entertaining, and at the last Aoi Ichigo's birthday gig, she finished soaking wet !

JUNNA 🥁🏆 legit phenomenon was is happening in Japan
Somewhere in Asia, a secret lab took DNA from Bonham, Pert, and Getz, and created what imo will be one of the greatest drummers of all time, though she probably won't get credit. Her technique, even with its flaws, is almost flawless, and her performance and showmanship are insane.
Herman Li mentioned how people are able to take the tracks for this and isolate out certain parts. The tracks are coming from Guitar Hero, so the tracks can be pulled from there instead of from any masters that the band has. They were pulled and the drums isolated out of the track so she or anyone else can play along with it. This is how Tina S was also able to post a cover for TTFAF, but with the guitar tracks isolated, so she can play it.

the thing that amazes me about her is for her size and build the amount of stamina she has is mind blowing even in her 20's to be that fit.. what a cardio workout.. and as you can see she isnt just tapping the skins she is really smashing them hard. the runs and fills she dose are just perfect.

Painkiller is one of my favourite Judas Priest songs, and I am always impressed (and a bit envious) of anyone who can master double kick drumming. I tried to learn how to play drums years ago and very quickly learned I have zero coordination, my efforts sounded like someone pushing a drumkit down the stairs 😄
Love Junna, and God Bless the Japanese! Over the last 10-15 years, they have seemingly surpassed the rest of the world in producing exceptional rock & metal artists. Groups like BABYMETAL, BAND-MAID, TRIDENT, NEMOPHILA, GACHARIC SPIN, etc., have reinvigorated my love for the rock & metal genres. Keep'em coming!

Ever since she left trident she has been very busy doing live shows on her own and with many ex-members of various bands and lately, I have seen her doing projects with Mitsuru ex-guitarist of Bridear and Ichinose Gasshan the bassist. Anyway if I am not mistaken I believe she is 21 years old

Junna is a beast! She was chosen by Marty Friedman ( ex-megadeth ) to be his drummer for his Japan tour 2022. Imo, with Haruna-san ( Lovebites ), and Tamu-san ( Nemophila ), She is in top 3 of japanese female rock/metal drummer.
I have a dream: a band with Junna, Rosanna Miho ( ex-Lovebites ) on bass, EYE ( ex Mary's blood ) on vocals, Lisa-X on guitar. That would be great!

Junna us awesome, been a fan for a couple of years. She has a lot of covers, including a baby metal cover where she does dress the part. She is not as young as she looks, around 25 or so for the second video.

True, you recently reviewed Trident....I would recommend listening to Trident - Voltage... she stayed with the band until they got a replacement. Truthfully Junna's style is harder rock and not punk that Trident was moving towards. She is considered a freelance drummer now but does alot with the ex Metallica guitar player

Junna is how I discovered Lovebites. I saw this video, then some others of hers, then found out she was the drummer from an allgirl rock band (now called Trident). I saw some of their stuff, but wasn't that impressed. Junna was clearly the best thing about them. But that led me to discover there was a good number of Japanese bands, including Lovebites, Unlucky Morpheus, Bridear, and others.
